Commercial Description:
A light-coloured, spicy single-bock wheat beer, for both beer lovers and the beer connoisseur. Extra long and cold storage in our monastery cellars makes this single-bock a really special beer with full body and a distinctively great mouthfeel. Prost!

The beer emerges from the 500ml bottle a beclouded golden yellow with an orange tint, the head behemothic in size, and a brilliant creamy white, as it fades slowly, the resultant lace is a fine veil to obscure the glass. Nose has an earthy aroma, spices also present, coriander and cloves come to mind, light and clean. Start has a sweet grain presence, with the top light to medium in feel. Finish as a benign acidity, the earthy, soapy sweetness continues to the dry aftertaste, a nice drinking beer, but did seem a little thin to me, with the hop presence very subdued, nonetheless, worthy of a sample.

Bottled. Nice aroma, citric, citrus, hint of banana, some hops. Hazy, yellow colored, white head, good lace. Sweet, citrus, banana, full and alcoholic. Clean and crisp, well balanced.

First thing that struck me was the color- lighter then any Weizen Bock I have ever seen. But very tasty, with a really nice mouthfeel.

Pours light straw/orange yellow with a large foamy white head. Aroma of sweet malted wheat, and citrus. Sweet and sour wheat, some banana and slightly metallic. Fluffy mouthful with some good carbonation. A nice drinking light Weizen bock.

Quite pale with a white foam floating atop a very carbonated body. Aroma of banana, zucchini bread sweetness. Strong banana flavor, slight clove and brown sugar. Medium body.

great to have a heller weizenbock around in case i dont feel like aventinus - i feel stupid not drinking aventinus most of the time because of how good it is and how available it is - but this is a good alternative. all the good stuff about a normal hefe amplified. in fact it doesnt get nearly as out of control as most lagers or ales at 7.7% - still swillable, only bigger. guess normal hefes have lots of fusels as they are. great head on this. vanilla/bread/aftershave aroma. tastes exactly like pavlova.

Great, banana-yeast aroma. Twangy, simple syrup sweetness, nice bittering. The alcohol is edgy. Reminded me a good bit of Don de Dieu. Pretty clean, bitter finish. Nice label, moderately cloudy, murky yellow. New Leaf Market.

Not you typical weizen bock pour. Lightly hazed golden color with a tall white head. OK, typical hefe pour. Sweet wheat and ester aromas. Hints of yeast and fruit. Not real fresh smelling. Sweet malt and wheat flavors in the front followed by a mix of spice. Some cloves and banana in the finish and linger. Thick, yet a tight zip on the tongue. Not sure of the date of this one, but I’m quite certain this one fresh would be very good. The deeper I get into this one the more I like it. Nice malt base and very drinkable.
