Commercial Description:
A light-coloured, spicy single-bock wheat beer, for both beer lovers and the beer connoisseur. Extra long and cold storage in our monastery cellars makes this single-bock a really special beer with full body and a distinctively great mouthfeel. Prost!

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of all foam finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a hazy softly carbonated yellow colored body and a poor lacing. The aroma was hoppy and wheat. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt hops dough and wheat. A decent one that I would consider buying again. Very easy to drink.

Poured a lightly hazy golden color with a medium sized white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of bananas, some clove, citrus fruits, toast, and a bit of toffee as well. Taste was more banana and clove up front, lemony wheat, light honey, some more toffee, and a bit of alcohol in the finish. Fizzy mouthfeel.

Hazy with the colour of peach flesh and a foamy, white head. Dried heather and a gentle smoke lure the nose in, leading to a crisp fruitiness of apricots and white grapes. Layered over that, spicy cloves and lemon zest. Sappy, sprightly malts provide a solid base for the rest of the aroma. Approaching room temperature a tangy, almost sour, citrus note pops up. The flavour closely mimics the aroma with a bit more sweetness. Smoke and heather come through, deliciously. Tangy and citric-spicy towards the finish with a long sourdough aftertaste. Chunky body, creamy, with lively, refreshing carbonation. Slight tannic bitterness builds. Simple, but cool; interesting yeast profile. 50cl bottle, bbe 07.04.09.

16.9oz bottle. Pours golden with a slight amber hue. The off-white head is initially very active and frothy, but gradually fades to a small ring. Aroma of bubblegum, wheat, spice, banana, and slight vanilla. Banana is the initial flavor, which is joined by wheat, spice, caramel, and citrus. Alcohol becomes more evident towards the finish. Finishes sweet and almost syrupy. Thin to medium bodied, with less carbonation than I expected. It’s far from perfect, but still pretty enjoyable.

Hazy yellow color, huge cloudy white head. Banana, coriander, lemon and bubblegum in the nose, crispier aroma than in normal weizen. Fizzy carbonation, foamy palate. Banana, orange, coriander, bubblegum and candy flavors. Alcohol is evident in the finish, then some lemon and hops. Aftertaste has toasted banana. Very warming. Demanding beer.

Bottle shared with Greg Clow, Hogtown Harry, Blankboy, and Jerc, courtesy of Greg. Strong wheat, some alcohol in aroma. Dark hazy yellow, small white head. Strong wheat taste, lots of alcohol, some clove in finish. Good, but a little unbalanced and too strong really.

500 mL bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. Aroma has plenty of lemon, wiith lots of banana esters. Some metallic notes are also there along with a bit of sulfur. I don’t think I have ever seen a weizenbock this light in color, although i havent’t had many in my life. Modestly hazy golden body with a large, frothy, white head and lots of lacing present. Sweet, banana yeasty coconut flavors present to start, which is followed by a sticky, metallic, lager-bock-flavor. Some grassiness and cereal graininess is in there. A little warming to finish with a crisp herbal hop bite.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms SoFo, Stockholm. Cloudy dark yellow, small head. Strong banana aroma with a touch of toffee. Sweet and malty, fruity and near full bodied with some caramel and lots of banana esters. Alcohol is there, but acts in the background. Low bitterness. A warming, fruity beer, feels just as a ramped up hefeweizen.
