Commercial Description:
A light-coloured, spicy single-bock wheat beer, for both beer lovers and the beer connoisseur. Extra long and cold storage in our monastery cellars makes this single-bock a really special beer with full body and a distinctively great mouthfeel. Prost!

Appearance: Pours a hazy, pale gold body capped with a thin, fine, white head. Smell: Crisp wheat nose with fine notes of banana juice, clove spice, citrus, a small handful of cracker crumbs, and a fourth of a Vanilla Tootsie Roll. Taste: Sweet, tangy wheat malts start, followed by a drop or two of vanilla and a lemony citrus character. Plenty of fresh banana, top shelf bubblegum, and coriander. Even some apple begins the develop. Light spicy hops and bitterness. Lingering tanginess and no more than the faintest hint of alcohol on the drying finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-high, lively carbonation, yet there’s still some creaminess to the mouthfeel. Drinkability: Recommended. An expertly crafted expression of wheat. It’s tasty and really grows on you more and more with every sip. Maybe that UGADawgGuy is onto something...

A mid yellow to orange coloured, cloudy beer with a thick and frothy white head. A spicy nose of cough candy, clove and pepper, plus a tropical fruit, banana aroma. Dry taste, wheaty and biscuity malt, then a potent spice flavour of clove, cinnamon and pepper, again, the sweet cough candy element is present, along with a typical tropical fruit flavour. There is a definate alcoholic backbone to the taste. The finish is dry and spicy. (Plantage, Freising, Germany).

Color is a yellow gold with a faint haze and very good carbonation producing a nice white head. Aroma is a little sweet with a hint of banana. Taste is creamy and sweet. Starting with a medium body it goes down smooth with a creamy feel in the end. Finish is sweet with flavors of honey and banana, then a mild yeast flavor and a touch of bitterness. After taste is a smooth lingering of the honey and yeast. Overall this is a very good brew, well rounded and full of flavor

500ml bottle. Pours cloudy blond golden yellow. Bright white colored, foamy head and very nice legs with equally sexy lace. Aroma of freshly picked bananas. Dominate banana aroma. Some mustard seed, a nice clove and a touch of honey sweetness in the nose as well. Very grainy wheat flavor yields a nice bit of sweetness. Lots of fruity yeast esters. Finishes with a lingering spiciness of black pepper. A nice calming alcoholic presence. Creamy texture, very smooth on the palate. Full bodied. Dangerously drinkable. Prost! 2020

Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Thick, soupy, dandelion hued pour; rocky white in abundance on the surface. Fairly usual banana and clove aroma, richly suffused with brown sugar, strawberries, and sweet almond shavings. Bits of grass and dry wheat husk. Full bodied yeast and spice flavors; clove, bubblegum, tart red berries, dry pine, and bright peach. Medium bodied, crisp, and lively. Sweet candies and taut white pepper in a quick, aggressive finish. Solidly constructed, pristinely balanced, and softly rendered. As expected, an exemplar.

on tap at Taco Mac Windward... arrived at the table a cloudy deep golden with a thin white head ... I feel this would have a much bigger head when poured from the bottle... wonderful banana aroma with some lemon and a touch of spice... medium body that is soft and creamy... really delightful over the tongue.... some yeast, spice and wheat... a very drinkable somewhat stronger beer that can really quench your thirst while bringing a lot of flavor to the table.

Great head, aroma and appearance. Perhaps a touch sweet, but great body and mouth feel. A very light Weizenbock, but it is excellent.

Pours a hazy saffron color into my Franziskaner weizen glass. Big 3 finger head is pure white, not much lacing. Good retention. Aroma is lemon meringue, banana oil, flowers, clove, and a hint of copper. Tastes like an imperialized version of a hefeweizen. Not a lot of dark, chewy, bready malt flavor at all. This beer is focused around banana, lemon, and clove. Also a touch of vanilla. Not bad, but certainly lacking the complexity a darker weizenbock (like Aventinus) would likely provide. Highly carbonated, but not overly so. Medium body with a sticky banana pith finish. Classic Weihenstephaner drinkability.
