Draught at Gallow’s Bird, Espoo. Clear pale golden in color with thick, creamy white head. Sweet, herblike on the nose at first with some butterscotch also. Slightly peppery notes also. Pleasant aroma. Flavor slightly hay-like with light notes of spices as pepper and alcohol in a nice way. Light bitterness in finish.

Clear golden color and small white head. Aroma of malts, alcohol and a bit of fruits. Tastes bitter, malty and alcohol flavours, low sweetness. Bitter and unpleasant finish.

500 mml Bottle tasted on 23/06/2014. Clear golden with medium white persistent head. Moderate malty aroma with some caramel and grains. Taste of sweet malts and hops. Taste is balanced. Carbonation is medium and body is light/medium. Easy to drink, not enough rock and roll. Next one please!

Bottle. Golden, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate malty - lightly grainy and sweetish aroma, some caramel, light fruitiness and faint butter, light alcohol. Medium, malty - lightly grainy and sweetish flavor, light caramel and faint fruitiness with light alcohol. Finish is average, malty - grainy and sweetish, light caramel and faint butter with faint hoppyness, light alcohol. Sweetish bock with caramel - nothing special. Couls use some bitterness to balance the caramel sweetness.

Aroma of sweet malts, straw, slight caramel. Flavour is sweet malts, a nasty sweetness. Rather typical and boring overly sweet Heler Bock.

Bottle sample at PRNH meibock festival. Clear gold pour with white head. Aroma of musty old grain, butter, dusty and vegetal notes, honey comes out as it warms, not a super inviting aroma. Taste is better, grainy, honey malt notes yet not too sweet. Palate is slick, med bodied with light carbonation. Meh.

Bottle sample at PRNH Meibockfestival. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of butter, popcorn, sweet honeyed malts. Flavour is much better, soft sweet malts, honey, light grassy, decent bitter finish. Light-bodied, slick.

100th Bavarian beer review. From a half litre flip top bottle, impressed by the healthy "plop" sound. A: Pale Gold, clear, medium head, decent lacing. S: The freshly opened bottle had that really nice nutty aroma that often accompanies Bavarian beers, sadly it didn’t transfer to when the beer was poured into a glass, slight hoppy aroma came through towards the end. T: Nice balance of mildly sweet grassiness, balanced out by bready bitter finish. Noted hints of clove, apple, banana and booze. Well carbonated, medium to thick texture. O: Fairly decent, I would place this on the Maerzen/Bock border.
