3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle bought @ Landbierparadies. Pours very hazy burnt deep yellow with a small frothy and bubbly white head that leaves some spotty trace in the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and floral with doughy dark bread, sourdough crackers, crispbread, hay, dried yellow flowers, old dry wood, minerals and lemon peal. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter, malty and floral. Mouthfeel is soft, flat, round, tiny dry, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and slightly bitter with doughy dark bread, sourdough crackers, hay, dried flowers, minerals and lemon peal. Nice if a bit too doughy malts, nice floral hops, nice minerality and nice sweet/dry balance. That on top of extremely high drinkability makes this a treat in a hot summers day. Quality kellerbier!

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
When poured into the glas, the hazy golden beer produces a dense frothy medium lasting white head. Aromas of citrus, grass, malt, grain and slight ham. At first malty, then well-balanced, bread and some citrus peel. Bitter finish. Oily mouthfeel, light to medium body, soft carbonation. Little bit too thin for my taste.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at The New Penguin, 15/02/15? Diaphanous yellow capped with a clumping white foam. Aroma of dried apricots, cherry blossom, citronella candles and a hint of ham. Good unfiltered brewpub helles flavour with fresh bread, shrub and lemon peel notes. Some toasted almond and cashew on the finish with a bitter hop linger. Fine rounded Keller- could certainly dispatch a few of these.

Bottle from the station store in Bamberg. Very cloudy gold with lace. Rustic rye bread in the nose, some caramel, grass, earthy hops, bread and biscuit, herbs. Nice malt flavor, chocolate and caramel coming through a bit. Very dry and hoppy, grassy and earthy. Decent stuff. Would like to try this on tap someday.

4.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy gold with firm meringue head, gorgeous. Whiff of sweet grainy malt leaves impression of vanilla. Creamy impression continues into lightly sweet flavor, balanced by snap of bitterness. Totally balanced. Beauty in simplicity.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Half litre bottle, poured into Tripel Karmeliet tulip. A: Very pale golden, slightly hazy, medium head, moderate retention, some lacing. S: Grassy, which points to noble hops like Spalt or Hallertau. T: Initial sweetness from the malts, grassy, bitter doughy finish, slightly watery and a bit bland. M: Light body, moderate carbonation. O: Not bad, but forgettable, with so much strong competition in the region it needed to do a bit more.
