Flasche.

Bottle from the Bierkoning, pretty much on it’s expiry date (21-6). Slightly hazy gold pour with thin creamy white head. Aroma is really grassy, light metallic malt notes, honey. Taste is light bready malt, honey (maybe this is age) grassy finish, silky light yeastiness on the palate, light carbonation. Easy drinking, hopefully I’ll get a chance to try it fresh in a few weeks.

Trübes Kellerbier mit kleinperligem Schaum. Grasig und leicht fruchtig in der Nase. Angenehm herb mit leichten Zitrusnoten am Gaumen. Wunderbar süffig und sehr schöne Kohlensäure. Gutes Sommerbier.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 28 Feb 2014) Pale yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with bread, grain, hay, grass and hints of tropical fruit. Malty taste with notes of bread, grass, cereal and a balanced grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight malt sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite enjoyable.

Bottle @ Café Brecht, Amsterdam. Hazy straw yellow pour, with nice white head. Smells fresh. Little peachy, toasted white bread, custard. Flavour is not so sweet, but custard lingers. Ticks all the Keller-boxes: subtle, herby, fresh, cashew? Really nice.
