Bottled. Golden colour, big foamy white head that leaves nice lace. Aroma is sweet malts, some hops, mild herbs and also some slight honeyish notes. Flavour is sweet malts, some herbs, caramel as well as some slight notes of honeyish sweetness. A very nice and refreshing brew.

Thick head. Very creamy. Ceramic mug. Superbly spicy hop nose. Very soft body and low carbonation. Smooth and hop-accented. Great balance. Insanely drinkable.

Draft @ brewpub. The longest lasting head that I have seen in a while, lasts through the entire beer leaving lots of lace in the krug. Beer is golden. Aroma leaps out of the mug, is on the earthy side but in a class of its own. the closest thing to describe is whole meal bread but it dries out in the finish after passing through a lot of spicy (not grassy or herbal) hops. A grounded, happy, nearly transcendent Franconian lagerbier.

Bottle @ home.
Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, grass, citrus notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. (220608)

Draught at the brewpub. Probably deep golden with small head. Dry, dusty and fruity. Medium-light bodied with some unexpected caramel, but otherwise short flavor. Buttery mild finish with a touch of salt.
