500ml flip-top bottle shared with Gunnar and OleR. Crystal, clear golden body with a decent white head. Extra score for a very nice label design. Discreet smell of rauch, hay and wheat. The taste has also got a rather moderate impact of rauch added by gentle malts and sweet hops. Easy to drink. OK (Plan B, Copenhagen 05.05.2010).

Shared bottle @ PlanB, Copenhagen. Pours clear straw coloured with a big white head. Weak malty aroma, some grass/hay. Watery mouthfeel. Taste is light sweet caramel with only a hint of smoke in the background, ends rather quick with almost no bitterness at all.

Draught. It’s dark golden with a creamy, lasting head. The aroma has notes of ashes, malt and a little meat. The slightly sweet flavour has a light citrus-like bitterness sand notes of smoked meat and the finish is dry and slightly sweet. The smoke is very, very subdued, it’s a disappointment.

Bottle. Clear golden with a medium white head. The aroma is light smoke, some bacon and caramel. The flavour is caramel, light smoke and fruit. Ok.

Light amber with a rather small white foam. Very light smokiness both in aroma and flavor. Rather pleasant to drink but nothing spectacular.

Tap @ Akkurat. No fuzz. Smooth, well balanced, easy to drink. But where is the smokeiness?

Sampled on 8/22/2009. This smoked beer pours a medium brown color from a 500ml bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, roasty malts, slightly smoky. A medium bodied smoked beer. The malts are caramel and fruity. The hop are earthy and herbal. There is just a hint of smoke in this beer, but it pervades the whole beer start to finish. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Perhaps a touch too sweet. Some lingering smoke flavors at the finish. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with a touch of smoke.
