500 ml bottle: poured golden yellow with a medium sized white head. Very mild smoked malt aroma. More hops than smoke. Flavor was quite nice with just a wee bit of smoke and some mildly citrusy hops. Finishes thin. I kind of like it.

Aroma of fruity, gras,citric,some malts and a smokey fnish. Flavor is smokey,burned thin mouth feeling. Short smokey fnish.

Aug 30, 2008 Bottle from BevMo. Pours a light copper color. Strong smoke aroma. Smoke flavor with a strong grainy pilsner type base. Pretty strong smoke, but the pils quality comes through as well.

Aug 16, 2008 Bottle. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Smoke and malt aroma. Malty, light caramel, light smoke flavor. Medium body. Easy drinking and refreshing. Smoke lingers with malt and a light mineral note.

Aug 13, 2008 [Bottle from Bamberg.] Nice label and bottle. Clean orange beer with nice off white head. Aroma of smoked wood and caramel and similar flavor. Could have more malt and smoke. Some watery, but ok.

Aug 9, 2008 Bottle. Clear amber with a medium white head. Aroma has smoked sausage (some kabanos in there) and light wood hints. A slightly sweetish flavor with decent smokiness, some malt and bread. Not one of the best Raubiers I’ve had but still OK.
