   AROMA 8/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 9/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 13/20
Erzengel (3320) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - OCT 28, 2013

Bottled. Deep amber colour with a mediumsized creamy beigeish brown head. Aroma is mild toasted notes, some earth cellar, mild toasted and rye bready notes along with some slight nutty and raisiny notes. Flavour is quite similar in a quite nice and mellow balance. Rather refreshing, though a bit on the sweeter side.

0.5 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Dark amber color. Sweet, bready and toffeish aroma. Very toffeish and bready flavor with hints of chocolate and licorice.

pivnizub (9000) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - JUL 10, 2011
Bottle: Reddish-amber coloured, clear, stable off-white layer; light to moderate dryish dark-malty to roasty nose with a chocolatey touch; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, soft; chewy, dry shorter malty-chocolatey finish. Surprisingly good......

Koelschtrinker (10951) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 3, 2011
Trinkbar.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass almost black. Tastes malty and dry, also a bit like a schwarzbier, finish modest sweet. Drinkable!
