Bottle from Wine Emporium 041114. This beer has got it all going on - coffee, chocolate, malt. Looks great and tastes greater. Black with coffee coloured foam and a sweet sweet finish.

Strong coffee aroma, more intensive than milkstout smell. Dry and more bitter than sweet. Very drinkable and good balanced.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. A dark brown-black beer with a powerful floral, fruity coffee flavour, milk chocolate notes and a bitter roasted finish. A superb beer, even better considering its below 4% ABV.

Cask at CBI, London on 28th April 2013. Solid black with thin tan film and pattern lace. Coffee and cocoa aroma. Rich coffee, spice and chocolate in-mouth. Rather sweeter aftertaste with berries and tanginess yet coffee returns late. Excellent. Smooth mouthfeel and fair body.

Thanks to ThirstyBird for sharing. Batch No 0035. Bottled on Oct-13. Best before Oct-14
Dark in the glass with and intense malty-dry nose. The beer starts very intense: Roasted and coffee. The mainpart is very dry, even a bit dusty. Highly roasted with lots of coffee. The aftertaste is long, intense. Viscous, coffee, hints of sourness.
A very great beer - especially for the 3.7% extremely flavourful! --> 13/12/13/13

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark brown almost black pour with thin tan head, roast coffee aroma, forward coffee taste backed with milk chocolate, not the sweetest milk stout, quite full bodied for low ABV. This is a very milk stout.

Bottle picked up at ’Jacks’, Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon. Consumed at a wonderful house owned by the Blackwell family in Appleton, Oxon, Saturday 31st August 2013 Black in colour with a large sticky frothy head light beige head that sort of collapsed in the middle. Wonderfully creamy and rich beer with milkyness, coffee and a pleasant rich vein of roasty and tasty goodness, really quite lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed this beer. It’s great that Weird Beard can do beers such as this so very well alongside the strong and very hoppy numbers that they also do. A7 A5 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

Bottle. Black with a lovely half inch of tan head. Coffee is definitely the main attraction, but it’s soft and the sweetness from the lactose makes this easy drinking. Nice roast malts, good chocolate, and a bitter finish. Slightly thinner, but bulked up with an oily mouthfeel and a vigorous but soft carbonation.
