(Draught at Bottle Shop Druid Street, Bermondsey, London, 23 April 2016) Hazy copper colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with citrus, orange peel and bread. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of orange peel, resin, crisp-bread, a touch of clove and a generous citric/resiny bitterness. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Interesting and quite tasty, with the hops hiding most of the wheat character. Nice one.

On tap at Max’s. Pours a hazed amber with a medium sized white head. Softly cheesy hops on the nose, citrus and melon. Medium bodied, earthy, malt and weirdness. Herbal and funky, not in the best way, dirty and vegetal. Slow earthy finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lovely hops, great resin and spruce. Full rich mouth feel with the wheat and not quite clear English (?) yeast. Great mouthfeel, fitting low bubbly. Wasn’t expecting too much from this but I loved it! Perhaps because the wheat isn’t too flat or spiced, rather giving the beer a full body. (50cl bottle from QV.ID)
