Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a slightly hazy orange gold with a one-finger head of foam that lasts mostly throughout. Pine and grapefruit on the nose with some orange and malt as it warms. Average carbonation and average body with a slightly pillowy mouthfeel. Pithy iyokan-like finish with lingering bitterness. Nice enough.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 26 Aug 2015) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, hoppy nose with citrus, orange peel and crystal malt. Malty, fruity taste with notes of orange peel, grapefruit, caramel and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with balanced sweetness. A bit one-dimensional, but really tasty and well made. Nice one.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Keg at Indy Man Beer Con. A slightly hazy golden colour with a foamy white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, some lemon, slight mango, subtle pine and a little biscuity malt. Taste is similar of big grapefruit, orange, some lemon, slight mango, subtle pine, a little straw and floral hops late on. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, lingering, citrus hop bitterness in the finish. A citrus lead hoppy IPA. Can taste the Munich malts too. Really good.

Bottle. bronze/orange.. Small head with grapefruit dominating with some bitterness floating around. Fairly predictable but still very pleasant to drink.
Up to their usual high standard.

British IPAs are definitely catching up. Nice hop hit and bitterness, deliberately unbalanced, tons of flavour. Slightly watery mouthfeel for me but still a really nice IPA.

Bottle from Drinksmonger, Bruntsfield. Pours hazy. Burnt orange in colour. Aroma is a little muted. Bit of straw. Jammy. Orange musk. Taste has caramel and bread notes but is quickly overtaken by a drying bitterness that comes on strong. Good length of finish with juicy citrus that comes out dry. Creamy carbonation. Medium mouthfeel. Quite sticky. Alcohol is present but works. Good.

330 ml. bottle drank @ Billie’s Bier Kafétaria. Bottled on 03/15. Batch 0171. Pours very hazy orange, big white head. Nose is very murky orange peel, very dry, dry fruits bitter with lots of yeast. Taste is harsh bitter with no balance & plenty of yeast, raw bitterness almost reminiscent of quinine tonic, very bitter dry aspirin, dried peel & big yeast. Just harsh & overly yeasty really. Dough. Body is overly bitter & dry + overly yeast. Heavy yeast, gives it yoghurt-like yeast. Not sure if age plays a big role or it just wasn’t my thing. It still had a long way away from the BBF date.
