Cask @ CASK Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico SW1. Pours a hazy pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy grapefruit aroma. Fruity malty peachy hoppy grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit finish.

Tap takeover at CP & K, Pimlico. Cask by handpump, half pint. Minimal white head over a cloudy, orange-gold body. Semi-sweet malty-fruity aromas. Joint taste profile of pineapple, resin and caramel malts. The ending is dry and bitter. Medium bodied. Good, maybe a bit too heavy to drink (London 12.08.2013).

Keg at CPK, London. Amber pour with thin white head. Aroma is grapefruit, orange, pine resin, caramel. Taste gives plenty of pine resin, caramel, pithy grapefruit, citrus, light spice, orange peel. Lingering pine resin bitterness. Quite a mellow, soft finish. Not a favourite

August 26, 2013 - on draught at Cask Pub & Kitchen. Hazy amber-gold with a small but lasting fizzy/foamy off-white head. Aroma is like ripe ruby grapefruit and pineapple/mango - AND citrus zest and light resin - nearly perfect. Taste follows - simpler than the aroma and so nicely balanced and refreshing - fruit and light bitterness in bucket-worthy quantity, I could drink it all day. Light body, middling carbonation, medium-quick juicy finish - I love this beer.

I had this at The Dean Swift, Tower Bridge, London, Saturday 17th August 2013 Hazy dark gold/orange colour the head is off-white. It is interesting drinking this alongside the Signature Brew, Dry the River Mammoth as this tastes a little sweet and less hoppy than that beer. However once the mouth has recovered from the furiously hoppy onslaught delivered by the Mammoth the Weird Beard is a truly lovely juicy wonderfully fruity, hoppy beer in its own right. The fruitiness is tropical with waves of juiciness coming at you, it is a really nice beer but just finds itself up against a big hoppy, dry and very bitter beer, I will drink this again on its own at some point to get a more rounded opinion of it. Bottle from The Beerhive. Muddy amber body with a huge off-white head that holds well and leaves excellent lacing. Aroma of sweet toffee, lychee and pine. It tastes quite rich and malty but there’s enough hop bitterness to balance things out. Flavours of caramel, orange, grapefruit and lime. The alcohol is well hidden. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Almost no carbonation. An good, malty IPA that could do with a bit more carbonation fizz.

Tap @ Cask Pub & Kitchen, London, 25/08/13. Pours a dark orange with a decent, white head. Aroma is hoppy with exotic fruits. Taste is fresh and clean. A lot of grapefruit and pine. A bit too light perhaps. Palate is light, refreshing with quite a bit of carbonation. Not too much though. Enjoyable.
