Spicy, lemonadey nose with fresh orange juice and dripping mango notes. Hazy copper with a quickly dying head when poured. Flavour is excellent - well balanced with a lot of citrus and lemonadey notes, some more spice and some spruce, with a gentle underpinning malty-honey sweetness. Textured finish with flavours of composting orange and grapefruit rinds and a pleasing sharpness at the end inviting another swig. Very nice indeed. One tiny thing - this brewer tends towards just a touch of over-carbing. If they sort that they’ll be joining the leaders of the craft beer revolution in the UK for sure.

Bottle from Kris Wines. BATCH 5. Bottled March 2013. Pours a hazy dark amber with a thin white head. Nice fruity, veggie, funky aroma - a little grassy with malty caramel... good. It’s got the caramel and the fruit and sweetness as well as a nice touch of the earthy funky veg. The bitterness comes in at the end and is good, takes a while to arrive though. Nice.

Peach, rye, toffee, raspberry, bark on the nose, and pours a nice deep amber brown. Scant carbonation, and lightly syrupy. Prominent malt profile, orange pith, pine and lingering bitterness. Quite sweet, and with a fat punch of alcohol. Pretty good, but could be a bit fizzier.

330ml bottle from Ales by Mail

Bottled MAR 13 - Pours dark reddish orange with a small head. Aroma of sweet caramely malts, resinous hops, berries, grass, citrus and exotic fruits. Taste is sweetish, malty and hoppy with notes of berries, exotic fruits and resin. Finish is malty, dry and juicy fruity with some berries. Quite malt-heavy IPA, but surprisingly well balanced.

Draught (Bow Bar, Edinburgh) - Amber in colour. Pine, peach and grapefruit in the aroma. Gooseberries, kiwi and grapefruit feature in the taste. The bitterness lingers long into the finish.

Amber, clear, dense white head, good lacing
Nose of smooth pale fruits, soft sweet caramel malts
Taste of light caramel, soft peppery bit herbal hpos, fairly sweet fruity malt background, bit malty for me, alc well hidden
Palate - medium body, smooth. Finish as main flavour, some light caramel linger
Overall - Found this a bit malty, but decent enough

Huge pine and orange hop note with spruce and mango. Pours a hazy amber red, gorgeous dry palate, leafy and grassy with a late soft sweet finish and some alcoholic warmth deep down. Truly excellent IPA.
