Cask, Keg & Bottle Conditioned; Regular.

Pacific Northwest meets Pacific Southeast as the best of American and New Zealand hops meld together with just enough malt backbone to allow them to sing. A riot of mango and passion-fruit on the nose but balanced enough to drink by the bucketful. Dive in and grab another bottle but don’t get the bends.

5.1% bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. This is a cloudy orange-golden coloured beer with sweet tropical fruit flavours, pine notes and a citrus zesty fruit finish. Excellent!

I forgot where I tried this but I think it was on tap at O’Connors in Uppsala. Fruity and hoppy smell with peach and passion fruit. Mild taste, bready malty with a light hoppy aroma. Semi smooth and light body.

Batch 0052. Pale gold with a lacing frill of white. Aroma of gooseberry, passion fruit, lemon rind and light minerals. Good clean soft tropical hop over solid, slightly greasy pale malts; some farmyard yeast towards the bottom of the bottle. Grass and monkey nut hints. Good.

Bottle at home, 16th March 14. Not too much on the nose, a bit light, easy drinking, but fairly forgettable.

500ml bottle from Rehill’s. Hazy deep amber with a moderate white head. Fruity, lightly floral aroma. Flavour is quite sweet to begin, honey and pine and grape, followed by citrus, grass and orange zest. Topped off by a moderate but lingering bitter finish. Really well balanced. Delicious.

Bottle Rehills Newcastle. Peach & kiwi aroma, gorgeous soft, semi sweet peaches and cream palate. This is way too easy to drink, has a lovely satsuma taste in the finish and us one of my favourites of this year so far. Well worth seeking out.

Draught @ BAJT. Pours hazy golden with a frothy white head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is fruity with crackers, peaches, pineapple, freshly cut grass, grapefruit juice, pine needles and gooseberries. Taste is bitter and fruity with crackers, unripe tropical fruits, grapefruit juice, gooseberries, freshly cut grass, pine needles and hints of green peas. Mouthfeel is crisp, tiny watery, slightly astringent and light bodied. Finish is bitter with grapefruit rinds, unripe tropical fruits, grass, pine and gooseberries. Refreshing!
