Pacific Northwest meets Pacific Southeast as the best of American and New Zealand hops meld together with just enough malt backbone to allow them to sing. A riot of mango and passion-fruit on the nose but balanced enough to drink by the bucketful. Dive in and grab another bottle but don’t get the bends.

Bottle at home, from www.beer-shop.gr. Creamy white head, medium body, leaves good lacing. Excellent variety of aromas, exotic fruits like mango and pineapple, bread, grass, straw malts, a hint of fresh butter (!), leaves notes of sweetness and sourness on the nose. Herbal, orange, citrus hops.Slightly dry finish with long-lasting bittersweet aftertaste. Great!

Bottle. Appearance: nice orange colour with white foam. Aroma: very fruity and fresh, lots of tropical fruits and hops. Taste: mainly hops, malty and fruity notes. The intense hoppy bitterness overpowers the rest. A well crafted, very enjoyable hop bomb!

Golden pale ale with white head... strong mango on the nose, tastes bitter, fruity, quite light bodied making for a very refreshing, well balanced beer. Good stuff.

Bottle from Rehills of Jesmond. Pours clear amber with a good white head. Pleasant teopical aroma. The flavour is spicey with pineapple, grapefruit and mango. Light body makes it refreshing but perhaps a little thin. Very nice and easy drinking, but could do with a bit more backbone and a little more oomph.

Cask, Font Manchester. 5.1%. Golden with little head. Aromas of grapefruit and mango. Soft, light malt with tastes of orange pith and tropical fruits. Medium sweet with a long bitter finish. Incredibly drinkable and very tasty. An evening on this wouldn’t be wasted. But I would be.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, medium to full sized white head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is lightly malts, hops, fruity, lightly grapefruit, lightly tropical fruits and very refreshing. Taste lightly malts, again very fruity and hoppy, some grapefruit, moderately bitter. Very crisp, clean and refreshing. Suitable body and carbonation. Absolutely love it!

5.3% ABV. Pale Ale. Nice hoppy nose. Unripe pineapple. Hint of pine. Good malty body with good malty flavor coming through most obviously when sipped. Sour beer notes. Cleans up nicely with clear bitter hops. Not overly aromatic. Decent pale ale. A little heavy handed to be truly refreshing. Aims to approach the appearance, palate and flavor of something like Buxton’s Axe Edge, but falls short. Interesting, but not good enough to sit in the same company as Axe Edge which remains as the class examplar. Worth a try.

15.6.2014. Very hazy orange, appearance could be better. Very refreshing fruity aroma with peach and mango. Flavour has also exotic fruits, hoppy malts, citrus. IPA-like APA.
