Saison is a French/Belgian farmhouse style of beer where the yeast is the star. True to weird beard traditions we like to pair the yeast notes with some hoppy ones to create this summer’s day in a glass. It is a dry beer but has enough fruity sweetness to make it very moreish. Should be served cold and well carbonated, you will never see this beer in cask. Batch 0010

Keg at Draft House. Dirty orange, hazy, sparkling, dense foamy off-white head endures, thick lacing. Aroma is wheat, soft vinegar, coriander, medicinal. Body is medium to light, foamy, spritzy. Taste is resin, seasalt, some iodine, a little tart, some Stilton towards the finish. Dry and peppery throughout. Spice-forward with some background citrus. Quite an interesting one to mull over. A pretty accomplished saison.

Pours a clear golden yellow with a large and consistent frothy white head which lingers for a while. Aroma is orange peel, coriander, slightly grassy. Taste is a touch orangey, slight banana, slightly bitter and it has some spice kick to it. Not as crisp nor smooth nor "peppery" as I like Saisons but its tasty nonetheless. Medium bodied with a lively mouthfeel.
