COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saison is a French/Belgian farmhouse style of beer where the yeast is the star. True to weird beard traditions we like to pair the yeast notes with some hoppy ones to create this summer’s day in a glass. It is a dry beer but has enough fruity sweetness to make it very moreish. Should be served cold and well carbonated, you will never see this beer in cask. Batch 0010

Tide (2238) - Espoo, FINLAND - JUL 31, 2015
Bottle from Beergium. Hazy amber color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, yeast, earthy notes, hops, a bit of spices and grass. Bitter finish with citrus, hops, yeast and grass. Good saison, although a bit overdone as usual with breweries outside the traditional area.

Pours orange with a huge foamy head that sticks around like whipped cream. Aroma of tangerines, banana, yeast and coriander. The taste is fizzy orange pop, spices and a little hint of toffee. It’s very tart and a little sour. Very refreshing, a nice saison. Batch 0162

BeerViking (3171) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 15, 2015
Bottle from the brewery, hazy dark amber with a big fluffy head and spicy yeast, orange pith and a hint of medicinal wintergreen on the nose. Funky and bitter, like an APA version of farmhouse IPA. A little gassier than I like, but otherwise dry and Seville orange-bitter, with light horse-blanket, a hint of ginger and an almost acrid finish. Batch 0196.

Ysok02 (375) - MOns, BELGIUM - JUN 30, 2015
Robe blonde, reflets dorés, mousse moyenne. Nez très marqué par la houblon, note citronnée, et de gingembre. Bouche assez fraîche et légère, élégante et raffraîchissante, plus une IPA qu’une saison mais agréable à boire

jamestulloch (2135) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 14, 2015
Bottle from Vino Wines. Bright, hazy orange body with a thick off-white head. Lively carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of sea salt, tangerine and lemon sherbet. Flavour of lime, Lucozade, straw and underripe pear. Medium body with a spritzy mouthfeel. Very fizzy. A super-hopped Saison. This is great, but more pronounced yeast and spice characteristics could make it even greater. This might age well.

Keg at Draft House. Dirty orange, hazy, sparkling, dense foamy off-white head endures, thick lacing. Aroma is wheat, soft vinegar, coriander, medicinal. Body is medium to light, foamy, spritzy. Taste is resin, seasalt, some iodine, a little tart, some Stilton towards the finish. Dry and peppery throughout. Spice-forward with some background citrus. Quite an interesting one to mull over. A pretty accomplished saison.

GlasgowTAD (590) - Glasgow/Aberdeen, SCOTLAND - MAY 7, 2015
Pours a clear golden yellow with a large and consistent frothy white head which lingers for a while. Aroma is orange peel, coriander, slightly grassy. Taste is a touch orangey, slight banana, slightly bitter and it has some spice kick to it. Not as crisp nor smooth nor "peppery" as I like Saisons but its tasty nonetheless. Medium bodied with a lively mouthfeel.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazy amber. Thick, bubbly, white head. Bready, granary malts. Yeasty. Toffee. Banana. Ripe citrus. A bit Hefe like. Drinks full, sweet, yeasty, smooth, and lightly hopped bitter. Ok. Bit hefty.
