Pours clear russet-amber color. Grass, and hints of floral hops. Very pleasant light flavor, crisp and refreshing.

Great appearance, perfect sparkly amber. Not too malty, roasty, nice hops, nice bitterness. Palate not so great. Quite heavy, but with a watery and abrupt finish at the same time. Alright, but not great.

Bottle. Clear reddish light brown color. Frothy head with a lacing. Sugary aroma of caramel with some grain. Smooth sweet malty taste with caramel and hops. Good looking label.

Bottle from a REWE in Forchheim. Deep gold in colour, with a slight head. Sweetish, caramel and marmalade aroma. Malty, cereal flavours with more fruit and a slightly spicy kick, leading to a decent, bitter finish. Very good.

Bottle by 21.09.12. Nose rich with toffee, earth, caramel, malt and light hops. Transparent caramel color with a rocky tan head. Lovely lighter roast and caramel in the mouth, toffee, chocolate, earth, sweet and sticky, touch of tang and some sharp crispness. Light citrus, hops, faint berries, good malt depth. Medium body, very flavorful. Surprised!

Clear dark orange/amber, head didn’t last. Could smell malt and hops. Also grassy and maybe fruity. Sweet taste, with a little bitter. Above average carbonation and thin/light texture. Not what I expected from the appearance.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2013 Poured from a bottle purchased in Nuremburg area. Poured roughly into german .5 l glass. Beautiful orange, copper color, ample carbonation. Minimal head fades to skin quickly. In the mouth, feels like it will have some bite or bitterness, but none to be found. Taste is very smooth, almost pilsener like, unexpected for such a dark beer.Much lighter in taste than expected, just a hint of bitterness on the back of the tongue. Caught off guard with this one, not bad, but different from expectations.

The head is unstable. It smells grassy-hay, hoppy. The taste is a bit roasty and hoppy. Drinkable 9/8/10/10/10/9

0,5l bottle. Pours dark amber. Thin head, stays. Sweet malty aroma. Malty, roasted, one could even say mild smokiness in flavor. Buttery, dry dark chocolate in the end. Weird beer in a good way.
