3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Tyler’s, Durham. Knowing this is actually a dunkel makes a bit of sense, given the strongly bready malt character in the nose. Cloudy amber pour with a decent head. Body is actually fairly thin, which doesn’t do the flavors many favors. Mild spice is detectable amid the fairly anonymous German malt character. The mouthfeel’s a bit papery. Forgettable.
