Cask at NERAX. Pours a dark brown with a thin beige head. Huge hot malt aroma, with lots of heavy caramel and toffee. Flavour is similarly robust, with huge toasted malt, caramel and toffee taste. Virtually no hop character. Hot alcohol finish, smooth and full bodied. My second from the brewery, and both have been big, intense and delicious sweet beers.

50cl bottle, labeled as Monk’s Christmas - lightly hazy dark copper - large, fizzy head - fairly sweet aroma, with strong caramel, some wildflower honey character, llightly spicy hops - fairly creamy body - semi-dry, toasted bread flavor, with light hints of roasted nuts, caramel, moderate hop bitterness - a touch of warming spiciness at the end - dry-ish finish - another solid lager from this brewery.

Pours a brown/amber in color with a light brown head. Malty aroma with a hint of toffee and some slightly roasted nut notes. Moderately sweet taste with malt , caramel, toffee and nuts followed by a sweet, malty, roasted finish. This one was quite enjoyable.

Medium beige head. Beautiful deep ambery brown body. Earthy
caramelly mineraly toffee aroma with nougaty marzipan notes.
Wow. Dry-sweet caramelly earthy marzipan taste with roasty
grainy mineraly notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, smooth mouthfeel.
Dryish earthy roasty marzipana aftertaste with mineraly burnt
caramel notes. Flavour lingers for a good while. Unusual, but
really, really nice. (0.5l bottle, Absinth Depot Berlin.)

Pours a filtered hazelnut brown color, with a huge, spongy head, from which big bubbles emerge.
Smells of whole grain bread, with a toasty note to it, topped of by copper and wood bark. The nose got a restraint toffee sweetness to it, complimenting the rich dark malts perfectly.
Has a very soft mouthfeel with medium carbonation, revealing a bubbly quality during the finish.
Tastes mirrors the nose to a certain degree, the profound malts draw most of the attention, with a mild acidity adding to its depth. Its pleasant sour note evolves to a toffee peak during the finish, evoking the image of caramelized grapes being dipped into bakers chocolate. A leafy quality, as well as a mineralic carbonation diversify this impression, while the beer remains expectedly well balanced as expected.
Well made Dunkel, which got a nice twist to it, while integrating a pleasant depth.

0.5l bottle. Dark amber body, off white head. Sweet malty aroma, mostly toast and caramel, but there is some floral hoppyness too. Taste reflects the aroma. Mostly sweet caramely, toasty malts but the finish has some floral hops in it. Very nice dunkel. I like it.
