COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle at home. Pours a deep chestnut brown colour with a thick, light tan head. Aroma of bready yeast, biscuity malt, Weetabix, caramel and grassy hops. Similar biscuity flavour with a little grass again and light woody and earthy notes. Moderate carbonation, light CO2 prickle and an oily mouth-feel. Nice and malty with a chocolate linger.

Bottle @ home titled "Weißenoher Monk’s Christkindl" picked up at Argonaut Denver. Pours a fairly clear, dark rust orange appearance with a cream colored head. Kind of spicy, tangerine, citrus fruity aroma with some straw, floral, and roasty notes. Lightly metallic/minearlic, herbal/earthy hoppy, caramel, somewhat nutty, fairly chewy flavor. Reminds me of my travels to Bavaria. Pretty tasty.

Drank as Weißenoher Monk’s Christkindl Dunkel (aliased beer name) on cask. No aroma detected from the dark brown pour with a frothy cask head that holds well. Taste is malty with a slight funk and subtle chocolate notes. Christkindl is a tasty and easy drinking dark beer for the Winter season.

500ml bottle (Stockman, Tallinn)
Rich red, small tight head. Rich grainy aroma, quite bready, Anna detects some cocoa. Soft carbonation, smooth palate. Really rich malty grainy taste, a touch nutty, some smokiness too. Bitterness stays for a gentle nutty finish. Goes down very easily, but packed full of flavour. Great dunkles.
