Nice spicy and roasted aroma. Flavor is malt dominant with biscuit, caramel, nuts, and fruit. Hops are noted and add significant earthiness. A nice Marzen but not all that memorable. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting.
Body is medium amber.
Aroma is moderately malty (toasted bread, cookie, caramel), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, apricot), with a light note of peach.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic, metallic.
The metallic finish taints the enjoyment a bit, and it’s a tad too sweet, but otherwise it’s a juicy, enjoyable brew. beerguy101 (3972), Newark, California, USA
