Tap. Tawny copper clear hue. Bready, doughy, slightly sweet toffee aroma, and slight spice of all things. Slightly toffee, leaves, earth, grass, toffee again but dry. Medium slick body. This is a real fucking Oktoberfest.

The color’s deep caramel brown, with a touch of golden tone; ample tan foam, dissipating after a few minutes. Smells caramel-y sweet with a touch of fruit, sugar cookie dough. Nice caramel flavor with a touch of roasty bitterness, nice medium mouthfeel with somewhat bready, also somewhat creamy character. Really yummy, has character still easily drinkable. Cheers.

(swing top bottle) Clear, amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Slightly earthy, molassy and toasted malty aroma with notes of caramel. Sweet and delicately bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a smooth carbonation. Mildly toasted malty aroma with notes of caramel, shades of chestnuts, molasses and a tinge of drying spicy hops; malt accented, slightly toasted finish with present notes of caramel and shades of herbal hops. Not bad, has something of a diluted dark Bock. 29.IV.14

Pours out of the bottle in a hazy amber colour with steady head and medium body. Aroma of straw and grains. Taste of hops, straw, grains, bread, flowers and herbs. Nice and smooth to drink with being refreshing and quaffable.

On tap at The Dirty Truth in Northampton. Pours a pale golden with very little white head. Very bland and non-descript. Not great. Shouldn’t have ordered this one...

Beers of Germany (The Craft Beer Social - PA Chapter #1) Social Aroma - the aroma was very honeyed with a little malt on the end Appearance - the body is a rich amber, the liquid clean, 1/2" head ~ that eventually rings out Taste - the taste is primarily honey sweetened malt Palate - body is light; texture is somewhat sticky; carbonation is average; finish is smooth and sweet
