3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Moan & Dove - Amherst, MA. Aroma is really focused on a almost caramel malts, really distinctly driven by CaraMunich and other raisin-like malt touches. Oddly, this doesn’t follow through in the flavor and the build centers around traditional paler Marzen structure. Complex and broad. Hearty.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Grainy caramel scent. Murky orange-brown look. Sweet earthy, bready, malty flavor. Cross between marzen and zwickl. Too light for Oktober drinking. Imported by the Sheltons of course.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
It poured a light amber color with a small white head. The aroma was of toasted grain, caramel, grass and some bready notes. The taste was slightly sweet with toasted malts, some stale bread, grass, and light caramel with a slightly dry finish.

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Cloudy amber with full light head that vanishes quickly. Not picking up much on the nose... and honestly the flavor is refreshing but doesn?t leave a strong impression. Am I tasting a little buttery banana? No lacing.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy dark amber with a nice 1/4’’ head and full lace. Taste is sweet caramel malt with a nice natural bittering. Not a lot going on, but well-balanced and easy to drink. A keeper.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a beautiful reddish tint with a typical lager head that dissipates about as expected. Aroma is of funky cheese with a bit of malty sweetness on the end. Taste is of malts, can’t pick out specific notes of the malt though, might need to try again. However, a very good beer, pleasant taste and mouthfeel. Not a bad beer at all

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle:   Cloudy, orangish caramel, small to moderate off-white head, sparce lacing.   Semi-sweet malty
nose, pale breadiness, touch of nuts.   Pale maltiness on the tongue, also soft breadiness.   Clean, a bit
heavier than many other German examples.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes quick, not as flavorful
as it was up front.   Perhaps its not heavier than other German examples.   All up front, but nothing in the
back.   Tiz clean tho.   Somewhat of a snoozer...
