Bottle:   Cloudy, orangish caramel, small to moderate off-white head, sparce lacing.   Semi-sweet malty nose, pale breadiness, touch of nuts.   Pale maltiness on the tongue, also soft breadiness.   Clean, a bit heavier than many other German examples.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes quick, not as flavorful as it was up front.   Perhaps its not heavier than other German examples.   All up front, but nothing in the back.   Tiz clean tho.   Somewhat of a snoozer...

Just about clear orange amber pour thin off white head and light lacing .... aroma of burnt and toasted caramel malts .... taste is sweet and of burnt and toasted caramel malts little sweet fruityness with a dry and malty finish a very simple marzen with a little bready element in the body ... a simple easy drinking brew

On tap at CK for the gravity keg event. Gorgeous walnut colored pour with a stunning head. Aroma holds huge diacetyl with butter, toffee, and caramel. Flavor salvages things somewhat with some more nuttiness and almond. Good combination of creamy and crisp on the palate. Some good and some bad about this one.

Hazy orange amber with a great white head. Pure popcorn butter- burnt popcorn butter. Gross. Medium body with medium effervescence and a creamy slippery finish. Ugh.

swing top bottle 500ml. -from Bier Imperium, Vienna. Nice cooper coloured, medium sized off-white head, light grainy nutty nose. Moderate sweet malty, caramel and grainy with notes of milk chocolate. Traces of nuts in the finish. Pretty good märzen.

Bottle (flip top like on the pic) courtesy of ogivlado (thanks!)
Poured a lovely copper-brown body with a big slightly off white head. Light soft nose, a bit grainy and chocolatey. Light grainy taste, again weak notes of chocolate, maybe caramel too. This is a grainy MF (and I don’t mean mouthfeel here), very nice in its own way but sorely missing hops in my opinion.

Malziger Antrunk, erst frisch, dann etwas dunkler werdend. Lightly fruity nose with caramels and bread dough. Taste is lightly sweet with golden raisins, light pear and light toffee.

Bottle. Copper body, small head. Rich aroma of caramel malt and autumnal fields. Pleasant thick mouthfeel, taste is malty and caramelly without being overly sweet. Nice.

Serving: 500 ml. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a cloudy reddish brown with a small, off-white head. The head is quick to fade into nothing. The nose is full of bread, slight florals, and a bit of dark brown sugar. There is a lot of dark bread notes in this brew with a lasting dark honey sweetness. There is a touch of yeast on the back end as well. Light to medium body with some prickly carbonation leading to a lingering sweet, bready finish. A bit on the sweet side, but still enjoyable.
