Draught at the brauhaus
Cloudy amber color; creamy head. Light wheat and banana aroma, very light cereals; less refreshing than the regular Weizen. The body is strong enough, with light wheat flavor and some residual sugars; the carbonation is lower than in the regular Weizen, allowing to better appreciate the flavor; there doesn’t seem to be the infection present in the Weizen (even if there is a very light acidity); the barrel-aging (if any; there was no chance to communicate, in German) didn’t leave evidence, maybe just a general mellowing of the beer. Correct bitterness; the final is a bit mineral. Pleasant.
