Bottle, 5.3%. Quite roasted aroma. Almost clear dark brown colour. Big stable rocky tan head. The flavour is also roasted, a little bitter, but also creamy. OK balanced. Slightly sweet, but might have been sweeter. Hint of barnyard.

Bottle 50cl.
Unclear medium to dark brown amber color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, bread, hay, light roasted, light to moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, and a dry finish. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090625]

Chestnut colour and hazy. Thick and slightly pock-marked head. The aroma is appley and wheaty with a hint of cocoa. Fizzy, with a hint of cocoa on the palate. Quite wheaty in the finish. Rather straightforward example.

Beershine (5201) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - JUN 21, 2009
Bottle at brewery. Opaque mahogany brown with thick beige head. Chocolate malt. Very small esters. Nice mild cola aroma. The fizziness is not as noticeable in this as in some of the others, and it carries the chocolate malt well. Nice dry dunkelweizen with dry chocolate malts and not too much yeast. I like it.

Quack-Duck (7759) - Down South, GERMANY - OCT 7, 2007
bottle, bought at the brewery. Cloudy brown colour, large head. Flavour of malt, roasted malt, chocolate and caramel, slightly yeasty and wheaty. Short finish.

Ungstrup (29081) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 8, 2007
Bottled. A hazy nut-brown beer with a fluffy orange head. The aroma has notes of caramel, wheat, and dusty hops. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel and a lesser note of wheat, leading to a dry wheaty finish. I’d like more character.

Bottle. Dark copper, clear body, with a beige head. Ripe plums, a little roasted malt and fruity, as well as caramel on the nose. Quite lovely. Roast, dried and fresh fruits, some sweetness and a little sour touch in the flavor. A bit dusty, medium body, and a quite sweet finish. Not the regular dunkel-weissen, but a nice one.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, orangey brown with a nice, dense, off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma. Medium body with very sweet notes of burned caramel. Delicate. 131106
