2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 IslandHaole (1053) - Yokosuka-Shi, Kanagawa-Ken, - OCT 14, 2009
Wow, my first rating for 2009!?! I’ve been away too long! A friend brought this back from the States for me, funky bottle. Well it’s a Pils, so of course a golden clear beer with a white head, green bottle=a bit skunky with hops. Crisp, some grainy flavor up front, nice hops, nothing special but still quite refreshing and much better than the canned Japanese Microswill that has put me off beer recently.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 darkseduction (348) - Zweibrücken, GERMANY - DEC 23, 2011
Style-bottle 33cl. North-german-style pilsener with grassy and herbal hops. Refreshing, succulent aftertaste. OK brew but nothing to remember.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 5/20 Hugi (115) - Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - NOV 24, 2011
From a bottle. Clear yellow/golden with a medium head. Unspectacular taste and smell (at least, some smell of limes). At the start a nice bitterness which becomes less while drinking. nothing else really mentionable.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 jaghana (1803) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - OCT 7, 2011
Bottle 33cl @Kaufland, a clear yellow beer with medium head. Nose is on dry malt. Aroma is low, bitter with dusty hops aroma, low body, no malt, just dry and bitter, disappointing.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Jukkabro (3457) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 8, 2011
Golden yellow colored, little white head. Buttery aroma with hops and lemon, thin cardboard also here. Medium bodied. Flavor is buttery as well, some lemon and cardboard come up here too. Aftertaste is grassy hopped, which lasts.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Koelschtrinker (6544) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 4, 2011
