maeib (4677), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Apr 7, 2004 On tap - Blue Meany Toronto. Copper coloured with a faintly bitter aroma. Reminded me too much of an English brewery conditioned bitter, Drinkable but bland. Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Feb 24, 2004 (Cask version) Golden colour with slightly hoppy nose. Very nice clear sharp hops in mouth but not enough malt to compensate. Thin body. shintriad (698), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 24, 2004 Updated: Jun 19, 2005If this is their "best" bitter, I’d sure as hell hate to see their worst. Didn’t see that one coming, didja? Oddly sweet and not very beerlike. Has a hint of port, maybe. I had it on tap and found it flat; maybe that didn’t help. I usually like this brewery’s output, but not this time. Tessic (439), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Dec 19, 2003 A nice light copper colour. The head didn't last for long though unfortunatly. A nice aroma of oranges and malt.A little caramel too. Not very bitter but a nice smooth malty flavour. The finish was a little watery. Good Beer!! jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 14, 2003 Updated: Oct 21, 2007October 2007. Cask @ Volo Cask Days. Copper amber body small quick head. Odd alcohol note to the aroma, moderate hops, light citrus, mild malt foundation (6+). Similar flavour, mild bitterness throughout. (6+) Average palate. Bit light at times. 6/3/6+/3/14 - 3.3
<P>July 2003. On cask @ C’est What - Nice mildly bitter ale. Little alcohol, sometimes inconsistent in delivery though. I prefer the cask to draught. 6/3/7/3/14 - 3.3 kwoeltje (1313), Manchester, Missouri, USA Jun 28, 2003 Updated: Oct 13, 2006(cask ale on draught) Hazy amber gold with nice head. Mild hops aroma. Well balanced malt and floral hops. Solid bitter. Radek Kliber (3912), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada Jun 14, 2003 Very light aroma, slightly malty. Orangey amber. Decent bitterness that sadly does not last long. Alcohol is annoying in this beer. pondoshuffles (141), Fitzroy Harbour, Ontario, Canada May 28, 2003 This one has lost a lot of flavour of late. Very much like weak tea now, especially on cask.
