presario (2953), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Aug 27, 2007 Amber. Light foam. Thin aroma of straw or hay. Light caramel taste. Touch of celery and metallic. Thin. mephisto (1144), Taiwan Aug 1, 2007 draft at rhino in toronto. copper hue with off white head, it is fruity and malty. this brew is well balanced and easy drinking. markas101 (541), Fargo, North Dakota, USA Jul 16, 2007 33 cl bottle, Shelburne. Pale amber colour, slight tan head, mild hoppy malt aroma. Mild for sure but more flavorful than expected. Quite nice for a ’light’ beer. JesseM (661), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Jul 11, 2007 Updated: Jul 3, 2008The box claimed what I had was a month past its best before date, which was a little concerning to me at first. It poured a nice amber colour with little head and a faint aroma of malts. I was hesitant, and worried Wellington might have actually let me down. BUT, first sip, it was great, very mild, but smooth and not nauseatingly sweet or hoppy like other bitters I’ve had. Very malt-accented. A great session brew, that you can drink boatloads of without feeling like you’ve punched yourself in the liver all night! robinvboyer (1419), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Jul 6, 2007 bought a 6 pack to go camping with. Its got a bready, and grainy aroma, with a bit of english hops. flavour is again quite grainy, and the hops come through a bit in the finish. a pretty weak bitter. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 30, 2007 [275-20070421] Cask @ C’est What (Toronto, ON). Faint smell is like freshly baked bread with some grainy alcohol. Slightly hazy, light brown red body with a creamy long-lasting off-white head and thick lacing. Like drinking freshly baked bread in liquid form, slightly bitter background notes in the aftertaste. Very creamy medium body is a bit watery. Perfect temperature, love the feel -- exactly what I was looking for after writing a three-hour law & ethics exam... StompBrockmore (300), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 19, 2007 Draught at The Rhino, Toronto - came golden/amber with a nice frothy white head on top. Good lacing. Aroma is light but floral, hinting at strawberry candy or something like that. Flavour-wise, this is a very light beer, a bit thin in the mouth, and not exactly what I would call a "bitter". There is no bitterness here. The hopping/malting is nice and soft, but again, could certainly be a lot more robust. Compared to other beers with such a low ABV however, this one is quite flavourful. Certainly a good session pint, but not supremely interesting beyond that. ChrisThomson (380), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 11, 2007 Had it on cask many times at C’est What, not bad from the bottle as well. Bright amber with small amount of head. Some nice bitterness and earthy notes from the hops. A bit thin on the palate.
