| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 10, 2006 Updated: Nov 11, 2006Bottle acquired in trade with blankboy (thanks!). Poured a deep amber color with a small sized off white head. Softer aromas and tastes of caramel, honey and a splash of citrus. Thinner (then again we had this after a couple of IPAs/IIPAs). Wouldn’t be a bad session beer. hopscotch (5474), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 22, 2002 The aroma is moderately malty with notes of butterscotch and light perfume.
Slightly hazy light amber hue. Small white creamy head. Quickly, but not fully diminishing.
Perfectly balanced and very refreshing. Nice and malty up front, but evened out by the hops on the backside. A nice burst of caramel in there as well.
Light to medium-bodied with a slightly silky mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish. JoeMcPhee (5000), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 2, 2005 341 ml bottle. Pale amber colour, thick tan head. Nice bready malts, a touch of yeastiness and light fruitiness. A bit of sulfury aroma as well. Spicy/grassy hop aroma. Flavour is a bit thin but it is well-balanced. Bready malt and faint sweetness balanced by light spicy hops. Tasty for 4% ABV, but not quite as good as some English bitters I’ve had. maeib (4711), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

Reminded me too much of an English brewery conditioned bitter, Drinkable but bland. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 18, 2006 Thanks again to Hogtown Harry for this. Dark straw pour with slightly bitter caramel malt aroma, plus hops, citrus, and pale skinned fruit. The flavor is roasty malty, with some slight cabernet and hops, and a little honey, yet the palate remains tannic. Gets a bit rauchy as it warms.
