On tap at the winking judge in Hamilton, Ontario. Pours a slight head with a dark amber/copper body. Aroma is spicy/malty with some bitterness as well. Taste is bitter, spicy, and maybe even sweet. Nice bitter aftertaste as well. A really good light beer. Was suprised to see that it is 4%. Nice.

[on tap at The Manx in Ottawa] Weak, slightly sour base malt aroma with a toffee note. Clear orange-amber under a thick, white ring. Weak toasty malt flavour with a touch of sour caramel. Light body, low carbonation, toasty sour finish.

Bu au Highland Pub à Ottawa (Décembre 05). Pas beaucoup de goût et trop amère. Pas fort!

On tap at Patty Boland’s (Ottawa). Nice copper body topped with a thin off-white creamy head. Light and pleasant hoppy (Fuggle, Golding) aroma with some roasty and brown sugar hints. Taste is well balanced, but is a bit too mild. It ends with an inoffensive bitter finish. Not bad, but slightly disappointing...

From cask at the Cloak and Dagger, Toronto. Thin, somewhat flavorful bitter, but not really enough. Flavors of fruit, caramel, bubble gum, pepper. Good fruit and spiciness. Very sessionable, but very light and could get boring.

Via trade with Lubiere and Capflu. Clear carmel color, whiteish head. Lightly fruity aroma, with some malt notes. Flavor is light and drinkable, with a slight hop and some carmel malt. Good session brew.

I’m with Oakes on this one, I remember having it a few years ago and really enjoying it, but this now seemed watery and generally not very assertive. Some hop flavors and a fruity nose.
