CanadaCam (109), Canada Apr 2, 2006 Hand-pulled cask at Duke of Kent, Toronto. What a damn fine pint of bitter. Friend of mine -- a publican and CAMRA member from Nottingham, UK -- was over for a visit in August 1999 and we popped in and he couldn’t get enough of Wellington’s Best Bitter. Seriously said it was one of the best Real Ales he had ever tried. This bitter has a nice, clean pour to it and a slightly fruity taste/aroma. If you haven’t tried it, you don’t know what you’re missing. shorlin (369), St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada Mar 13, 2002 I tried this cask-conditioned on tap. Solid head. Looks like nitro can product, but that’s the real deal. Mild nose, good though. Nice flavour. Subdued maltiness, with light hop. Little bitter, smooth but dry in the finish omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Jan 9, 2002 Amber coloured. Rather malty, dry, balanced and well drinkable bitter. i_am (365), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Feb 3, 2003 Bubbly head. This beer has a nice malty aroma. Medium caramel malt taste with a nice hop balance. tiggmtl (4179), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 2, 2004 Mildly fruity, toasty malt sroma with light spicy hops apparent. Clear, copper coloured beer with decent white head that lasts nicely. Pleasant malt character with beautifully understated fruity esters and a gentle balancing bitterness in the finish. Creamy mouthfeel and light medium body. Very thirst-quenching. A great session beer. Bottle.
