Draught At the Duke of Argyle, Toronto. I had not had it in a while, surprisingly dark & flavourful. A very dark coppery colour, very little head, some carbonation & bubbles through the pint, aroma of mild burnt malt, sweetish but noticeable bitterness too somehow, mushroom notes. Taste was medium-bodied, some dark chocolate & peat, like a mellowed scotch ale with too much bitterness in the blend. A little brackish on the linger, but pleasant in the mouth. could have had two more. Better than I remember in the bottle, but Iron Duke is better.

Coppery brown, vigorous head and fairly dense body. Toasted, nutty and chocolate flavours are evident from start to finish. Lingering hops aren’t extremely well-matched to its burnt malts. Reminds me of a downgraded version of Iron Duke. Lots of personality for an Ontario "pale."

Nice copper colour. A bit sweet, but with a nice smooth texture. Earthy, malty finish. Worth a sample.

draught. copper/mahogany body, small white head. subtle caramel malt aroma, perfume, soap. smooth and creamy texture. starts out a bit sweet and then ends up with a strange buttery/soapy taste. Meh, it’s alright I suppose.

Cask conditioned at the arrow and loon, Ottawa. Very dark, mahogany/copper red, with perfectly soapy white head, that died down to a clingy lace. Aroma is flowery, with a sweet honey scent of hops. Discreet hops and malt, low carbonation, light mouthfeel, soft bitterness, it tastes like iced tea and goes down just as easily.

Pours dark copper coloured with a thin head. Aroma of roasted caramel malt and light hops. Earthy and slightly burnt caramel malt taste with a decent hop bitterness.

A pleasant beer pouring with an off-white head that retained well and laced well. Mothfeel was complex with an excellent combination of carmel , grain, and hops. It finished with a lingering taste of malt that was quite pleasant.
