Bottle via MN from the big TO. Clear deep amber with a thick, microfoam head. The nose is of maple syrup, cinnamon-spice and the aromas of a farmhouse breakfast. In the mouth you get a surprisingly thin body with more spice notes rinsing to a sweet, malty finish. Breathes out as a whiff of caramel-covered espresso beans (those don’t exist), or the last drop of baked-bean sauce. But like, in the good way.

Bottle @ Rhino. Deep, dark, almost opaque amber brown. Inky aroma. Low carbonation. Metallic and mild.

On tap at Pub Italia in Ottawa. The color is a dark brown very little head. THe aroma and taste is of malt . Also in the taste is a swwet taste of caramel. The finish is bitter but not to much.

Bottle from secret santa. Some peanut brittle in the aroma with light caramel. Taste is awfully thin and doesn’t have too much flavor -- maybe a touch of anise and some nuts -- but otherwise is a very easy drinker. Nothing too exciting here, though I wouldn’t mind throwing a few of these back.

12oz bonus via Puzzl. Pours dark brown with a 1 finger tan head. Nose is sweet and nutty. Taste is sweet with some nice chewy malts, basically a brown ale, with a bit of oomph.
