473ml can. Pours a pretty dark reddish brown with a tan head. The nose is cocoa, light vanilla, biscuity malt, acidic notes, light caramel, and a little bit of a floral note. As for taste, there is light bitterness all the way through to the finish, with cocoa, molasses, fresh cherries, coconut, malt, butter, all in small quantities, with a kind of stale freezer burn taste is the finish. Itís not bad, but there is very little cherry to get excited about.

[4546-20120622] Cask. Mild chocolate coffee dust roast aroma. Slightly hazy, dark brown amber body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Toasted coffee grounds grains and light multi-grain bread flavour. Medium body. Quite refreshing but not particularly sour. (7/4/8-/3/15) 3.7

On tap at Cíest What Summer Festival Of Craft Breweries. Pours a murky dark orange with average-sized off-white head. Aroma is almost rotten cherry - rather unpleasant. Medicinal cherry dominates the flavour with some caramel malt. Syrupy mouthfeel. I really didnít care for this.

Cask at Cíest What Summer Festival of Craft Breweries, June 22. Pours orange-copper with a small fizzy off-white head. Nice aroma with a good amount of cherries, slightly sweet. Slightly watery flavour is lightly sweet and lightly sour cherry along with caramel malt. Average bodied. Good.

2012-06-22. Murk dark red-brown body, modest creamy beige head and lace. 3+ Mild muddled aroma, light fruity cherry, dusty malt touches. 6+ Flavour is similar, mild fruity cherry character, light dusty malt character and sort of sweet caramel malt accents. 6+ Average to thin bodied palate is a touch watery. 2+ Okay. Not unpleasant but a bit lacklustre. On Cask at Cíest What Summer Festival of Craft Breweries, Toronto

A hazed reddish brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a sweet dark fruit with strange black pepper. In mouth, a lightly acidic ale with nutty malt and cherry skins, with some astringence. On tap at Cíest Whatís 1812 Festival, June 23, 2012.
