Nut brown. Softly malty and nutty with some bitterness on the end. Balanced but unremarkable.

This has really started to suck in the past few years.

Light amber ale with a good off-white head. Malty aroma with herbal notes, slightly off. Crisp malts with a sweet finish and faint hops in final. Medium bodied. Not as good as i remembered it though.

On tap at the brewery. Poured a copper/amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of caramel, grain, some citrus, and caramel.

More a golden ale than anything, but I digress. Pale golden with a thick sticky white head. Aroma is lightly citrusy, with a kiss of lemon. Apple, pear, and zesty citrusy aroma. Light marmalade over a soft wheaty malt base. Quite fragrant. A hint of tropical fruitiness as well. Flavour is well-balanced. Soft spicy pale malt, orange and a light goldings-esque flavour on the back of the palate. More of a summertime brew, but it is quite good.

, some bitter aftertaste. Not so pale, maybe name owes itself to cross-style with the cream, which is sugar biscuit in the dough, Bitter over sweet.

Big thanks to Hogtown Harry for this. Pours coppery, with aroma of bready malts, hopcitrus, and some tropical fruit, and those elements appear in the flavor as well. Medium to light body, and refreshing.

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2007 Sept 2007. Bottle. Golden amber body with a smallish white head. Lightly hoppy aroma. Grassy, lightly fruity. Similar flavour, mildly hopped, grassy, lightly grainy. Average palate. Touch dull. 5-6/3/5-6/3/12 - 2.8

TFOB 2003. They are calling it Special Pale Ale now. Amber colour, slight head. More hops in the aroma than the flavour. Enjoyable but doesn’t make me crave another. 5/3/5/3/12 - 2.8

Bottle courtesy of a traveling colleague. The beer pours a clear pale yellow-orange color with a thin off-white head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Sweet malt and honey in the nose with a touch of hops. Light body with flavors of grainy malt, honey and fruit. Mild hops are present as well. The finish is sweet with herbal notes and a malty aftertaste. Not offensive in any way, but ultimately not distinguishable from the many other beers just like it.

Light amber, white head. Light grassy aroma. Too sweet to be real P.A, but drinkable nether less.
