Can 473 ml
Aroma: solid compilation of darker them with aromatic hop variety. Hint of chocolate, pit with garden zest.7+
Look: poured as clear dark amber with fairly dense almost creamy off white top. Sparse lace presented. 4-
Taste: lower carbonation. Strong earthy, woody notes typical to brown ale yet with bit more depth than most. Slight touch of zest on side. Drinkable , satisfying approach. Nice brewing.

A reddish copper ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, weird grassy malt with light off notes, roasted character. In mouth, light watery nutty malt with grassy hops, light chocolate, OK.

473 ml can at Loon. Very deep ruby with a so-so tan head. Lightly earthy, lightly nutty malts, light floral hops, a bit of brown sugar, not bad. Medium body, somewhat relaxed effervescence. Light nutty earthy brown sugar, vague and not great, oddly fruity, a little resinous and pine like, lightly vinous with a Newcastle brown character, meh; dry, moderate bitterness and a so so brown ale finish. Ok.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 yrstruly (197) - Guelph, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 8, 2013
Pours deep brown with a light tan head. The Cascade-dominated hop aroma offers a lot of fresh grapefruit, with very slight roasty notes. The taste is of a clean, nicely made IPA - not too bitter up front, the malt is there but not the focus, a slight bit of toast. Citrusy hop finish with some slight herbal and spicy notes. This is the best beer I’ve had from this brewery.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 blankboy (5191) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 7, 2013
Draught at Bar Hop Customer Appreciation Night, Jan. 31. Pours a deep dark orange-amber with a small lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma of lightly toasted malt, nuts, leafy hops and a hint of chocolate. Pleasant malty flavour along with leafy hops, some roastiness and notes of coffee. Average to medium bodied. Surprisingly good for this brewery, keep it up.
2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Tessic (748) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 25, 2012
This IBA poured a deep brown colour with a big, beautiful, tan coloured, rocky head. Not much lacing. To the nose there are scents of gravy, dough and dark malts. Very strong smelling in the gravy dept. First sip was interesting with strong hop flavours and roasted malts with a little caramel and light coffee. Finish is bitter withy the roasted malts and coffee lingering.

473ml can thanks to grub.
Appearance : Clear deep brown with small head. Light lacing.
Aroma : Resinous and slightly citrusy hops with dark caramel notes. Toffee and light roasted malt notes.
Taste : Caramel with resinous and citrusy hops. Light piny notes. Light malt. Finish gets maltier with caramel and resinous hops.
Palate : Carbonation is fairly soft. Nice fit to the beer.
Overall : Nice hop profile. Nice caramel. There is something that bother me a bit on the nose... maybe some light veggy notes. Nice citrusy hops on finish. Quite drinkable and decently made.

Nutty, good cereal malts, light citrus, piney hops. Lovely pine resin finish with a shot of nutty, woody malts. Great stuff.

Can: Poured a clear medium brown color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of grainy malt with light dry caramel notes with some funky and lightly citrusy hops notes. Taste is a weird mix between some unrefined grainy cereal notes and some stale hoppy notes with light citrus undertones. Body is about average with good carbonation. I either got a bad can of this or maybe it just didn’t fit my style but I though the hops were stale and lacking and the malt base used wasn’t the greatest.

[4307-20120225] Tap. Mild dusty grains aroma. Slightly hazy, dark mahogany red body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Muted dusty fruit grains flavour. Medium body. Simple, good. (6/3/6/3/13) 3.1
