COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Welly Mammoth is a huge and complex winter stout with subtle hints of balsam fir and a refreshing peppermint finish. With a huge body and rich chocolate malt this full bodied stout embodies the majestic presence of this pre-historic beast. Brewed using balsam fir boughs and peppermint, this massive winter stout is black in appearance and is heavily fortified with 9% alc/vol. Welly Mammoth Winter Stout is sure to bring some warmth to fight off the deep chill of winter.

473 mL can. (Released dec 23 2011). Black with a nice brown head which lasted about 14 seconds. Interesting aroma - smells like a dark chocolate-covered candycane. A lot of fir (Buckley’s!!) in the initial flavour, followed by some chocolate and a touch of mint. Nice finish. Interesting.

Can. Pitch black, little head. Aroma features cola, licorice, pine. Taste is very unique: peppermint, licorice, hops, alcohol. Very sweet. Very unique, this one totally divided the room that I shared a few cans with. I appreciated the creativity.

can from the brewery. black pour, with some head but not much. chocolate quite evident in the aroma. lots of roast chocolate with some coffee. a little sweeter than expected. alcohol completely hidden (no burn at all) didnt get any peppermint. got a hint of the balsam fir. overall a great stout. nice job!
