COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, Pasteurised.
This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

transparent medium brown liquid, pours a yellowish white head that keeps its texture reasonably well. aromas of malt, bread, slightly citrusy hops but tipping towards banana, fruit.. a bit boring and one-sided trying to emphasise the banana a bit too clearly. the body is light and does not provide any additional texture to deepen the experience. as a plus side, at least it is clear and plain enough to let you enjoy what there without disturbance. An ok banana beer. Tastes like a beer instead of just beer with juice/flavour which is good.

Som namnet säger är det banan. Banan i aromen är helt dominerande, och kraftig. I smaken är den också kraftig, men också är ölen lite alkoholig. Några munnar är bra, en hel flaska är för mycket.

I love banana bread, so naturally I had to try this beer. It pours light amber with a thin white head. The aroma of bananas and bread before you sip is promising, but the actual taste is a bit less substantial, but is still sweet, light and refreshing with a subtle but interesting banana bread finish. it goes without saying that if you like bananas and beer, you’ll most likely enjoy this beer.

Pours with a small thin head that disappears quickly. Smells like a lot of ripe bananas! I love the smell. Taste like caramilized sugar, bananas and spice, this quick fades and leave you with a weak weird after taste. I really enjoyed trying this bear, but would not enjoy it often.

Pours a clean amber color with a medium off white head. Smells like banana bread or, better yet, banana wafers that have been in the fridge overnight. Now I’m tasting banana wafers with a little malty background. Brings back memories. I wonder if southerners rate this higher? Overall, I like this beer. It’s not super complex. It’s just simple and good.

I had seen this around for awhile and finally broke down and bought a bottle. Pours a clean amber with a yellow tinge around the edges. The head doesn’t last long and soon soon just a thin film on top. Obviously there is a aroma of banana and mild spices like nutmeg. It starts off with a mild bitterness but soon mellows out to a fine drinkable brew. Going to try this with a beer bread mix sometime.

As a huge fan of bananas, I was won over by this fun, enjoyable brew. I think aroma is its strongest aspect: fruity and sweet, yet bready and slightly bitter. Overall a neat stand-alone beer.

50cl, English brew, with bananas, from Bierzwerg Greven, not complex fruit brew, fruity/malty and slightly spicy/sweet, not balanced, clear, small head, nothing special
