COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, Pasteurised.
This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber in color, lacey white head. Aroma isnít quite what I expected. The banana is there, but so is a citrusy hop character- slighly odd. The hops arenít as apparent in the flavor, mostly just banana and a malty sweetness. Slightly thin in body, finishes a little cloyingly sweet.

*did not like would never buy!* aroma: hair salaon perm, banana candy, some banana flavored tart demon lurks in the background. OH MY!! looks: who cares at this point, after that smell. taste will tell the tale. flavor: ICK, i am afraid i now have a banana demon in me, fake chemical banana and sun tan oil bad bad results. a faint hint of actual banana bread pops out for maybe 3 seconds after you sip it. palate: thin water. OA: oh no no no, if it was not so mild and watery i would have wanted to give it a negative number. its mildness keeps it from making me gag.

Deep amber color. Smells lightly of hops and strongly of banana and cream. Tastes extremely sweet for a beer, like banana, pound cake, malt and hops. Very bready. Tasty, but rather thin and watery to be truly enjoyable. Nice effort though, and props for originality.

Something a little different. Aromas smell more of candy bananas, but the taste is softer and, appripriately breadier.

Bottle at Brickskeller. Sounds like a gimmick, a beer that smells and tastes like banana bread. The beer is pleasant, though the bottle is too large in my opinion to enjoy for consumption by one person - I started to get tired of the banana bread taste a little more than halfway though.

Part of Sydís weak beer fest (even though it is labeled as an english Strong Ale). 568 ml Bottle pours a crystal clear copper amber color with a decent and clingy head. The aroma is very ripe banana. Thatís right, just very ripe banana. The flavor is has some dry malt, lots of banana flavor, some bread, and some faint hops. The palate is medium rich and lively. This one is a love hate sort of thing. The aroma is nice, the flavor and palate seem OK, but put everything together and rate it as a whole, Iím quite indifferent to it all. Yeah, this is weird. I brought it home as it sounded interesting, but Iím not a fan. Quite nasty as it warms.

Bottle. Smells like banana, even like banana bread. Copper amber color with an offwhite head. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is malt, banana and nutty spice. Finish is not quite so pleasant as the start; thereís something bitter, which doesnít go that well with banana. That clears up though, and in the end itís dry with remnants of banana. Definitely not a hefe. Overall itís pretty tasty.

568 ml. Clear shiny copper with a small, lasting head. Aroma is banana and spices. Flavor is banana bread with walnuts and spices! Some nice bittering hops balance on the end. Unique and pretty nice really. Light-medium body is slightly dry.

Big 568ml bottle. Large amount of ripe bananas in the nose followed by a sweet walnut flavor. How bizarre. Deep golden orange color. Frothy white head. Rich crystal malt character. Clean crisp bitterness from the Challenger and Goldings hops. Finishes with the ripened banana flavor. Nuttiness from the malt, well balanced bitterness, and fruity banana all add up to an unique beer experience. Cheers!
