This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

Bottle white, 1 pint.
Appearance: Head is initially mediocre, size is very small and immediatelly diminishing to nothingbut the minimal, white ring on the rim of the glass, no lacing at all. Body is very clear and transparent. Medium bodied beer. Carbonation is very weak, a flat beer, body colour is nothing more but nice amber, it looks like a tea.
Aroma: Artificial aroma of banana. It has an aroma of banana from powder or from bananas in chockolate, (rather not fres aroma of banana) connected with some hoppy skunkness and small amount of nice malts, some notes of sweetness (chockolate like), white bread, flour, the aroma of banana is so strong and unexpected that I feel almost some aroma of sweet flowers.
Flavour: Malty sweet with nice contrast of hoppy bitterness, the flavour of banana is more natural than aroma but still not authentic, a little bit wattery, sweeter than a bitter but there is still an existance of some bitter flavuor, the banana flavour is very well build in and you can only criticise this beer when you don’t like banana flavuor or do not expect the beer to carry it flavuor. The alcohol is becoming present when the beer is warmer and the banana tasted is blended with dark- bread base of toasted malts and burned sugar that gives bitterness. Body is medium to full. The more beer you drink, the more your nose acquives to the taste of banana which at finish seems natural.
Palate: Body palate is medium, finish is long, alcoholic, dry, bitterness. Texture is dry and creamy.

The aroma of ripe banana and bready malts fills your nose as you pour this beautiful golden amber brew. It forms a modest off white head with lots of little bubbles streaming up the sides of the glass. The flavor is full of over ripe bananas with nuty and sweet bready malts. It’s light to medium bodied, well carbonated and it has a slick almost oily texture. An excellent brew.

MIld aroma of hops and banana bread. Attention-getting taste of banana, clove, malts, and grains. This stuff is not sweet, like most of the banana breads I have had, but the banana flavor is clearly present - more like a banana muffin beer! An original brew and an interesting change of pace.

Bottle. Clear copper with a white disapating head. Pleasant fresh banana nose. Pale malt, touch of caramel, clean banana flavor and plenty of earthy Brit hop bitterness. Medium to light body with lively carbonation. Overall, solid.

moderate and tolerable flavors of sweet and banana combine with a decent hop character in an otherwise better than average beer. interesting and worth the try but clearly it will not become a true beer snob’s or for that matter geek’s beer on the mind. i thought the experiment doomed to failure but having finally opened my bottle i believe it was a recipe worth modest appreciation. good beery mouthfeel and carbonation but somewhat out of balance.

The banana Bread taste was very subtle. And grew on the aftertaste with a slight alcohol hint.

Very tasty beer. Strong banana aroma and taste to match. There is not much and and the color is brilliant golden hue. I like it

Clear amber of color with a nice off-white head. An aroma of banana, malt and sweets. A flavor of bitter notes, banana and hops. It smells more of banana than in the taste. Reminds me of a pilsner with banana.

A pint bottle found in a G-Roby store in Budapest
Poured a lovely dark rosé colour, a bit orange tinted. Medium-small white head that went away slowly. The nose is nice. A bit sourish and a huge banana presence. The taste... hm. Yeah, the banana taste is omnipresent but not overbearing. Quite well executed. The base, however, didn’t strike me as a particularly good match. I would’ve expected a big malty presence, but one simply can’t find one. The malts are gone. Where they should be there’s a pretty one dimensional hoppy bitterness. It’s not offensive mind you, but the two tastes clash a bit and the beer doesn’t end up being as good as it should be. I do like the banana taste in a beer and I wouldn’t refuse one if it was offered to me again, but it’s hardly a world class fruit beer.

0.568 l (pint) bottle, thanks Doggythedog for sharing! Poured nice copper golden orange body with medium small white head. Very nice aroma of banana, with malt and yeast easily scented, too. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm about this beer dropped when tasted it. Very watery, completely different of what it should be, bitter even with notes of cardboard, some banana still of course, but just too empty. Finish is boring and plain as well. Pity they’ve made it this way.
