This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

A pint bottle found in a G-Roby store in Budapest
Poured a lovely dark rosé colour, a bit orange tinted. Medium-small white head that went away slowly. The nose is nice. A bit sourish and a huge banana presence. The taste... hm. Yeah, the banana taste is omnipresent but not overbearing. Quite well executed. The base, however, didn’t strike me as a particularly good match. I would’ve expected a big malty presence, but one simply can’t find one. The malts are gone. Where they should be there’s a pretty one dimensional hoppy bitterness. It’s not offensive mind you, but the two tastes clash a bit and the beer doesn’t end up being as good as it should be. I do like the banana taste in a beer and I wouldn’t refuse one if it was offered to me again, but it’s hardly a world class fruit beer.

0.568 l (pint) bottle, thanks Doggythedog for sharing! Poured nice copper golden orange body with medium small white head. Very nice aroma of banana, with malt and yeast easily scented, too. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm about this beer dropped when tasted it. Very watery, completely different of what it should be, bitter even with notes of cardboard, some banana still of course, but just too empty. Finish is boring and plain as well. Pity they’ve made it this way.

This Ale pours a deep orange gold color from a 500ml bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet, with lots of banana and some nutmeg. A light to medium bodied ale. The malts are fruit, caramel and sweet, with some banana flavor. The hops are mild and earthy. Its kind of mild and light, and has some banana bread quality to it, but sorry to say, its really kind of boring. AH well. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

not too much to talk about, the taste of banana is there yet it the overall flavor falls a bit short of everything else. it has its high points but just barely works.

The aroma has a little bit of both real and artificial banana added to it but there is also a spice muffin element. The appearance is amber with a small head. The flavor is too bitter but it tastes like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall it’s good but not great.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber in color, lacey white head. Aroma isn’t quite what I expected. The banana is there, but so is a citrusy hop character- slighly odd. The hops aren’t as apparent in the flavor, mostly just banana and a malty sweetness. Slightly thin in body, finishes a little cloyingly sweet.

*did not like would never buy!* aroma: hair salaon perm, banana candy, some banana flavored tart demon lurks in the background. OH MY!! looks: who cares at this point, after that smell. taste will tell the tale. flavor: ICK, i am afraid i now have a banana demon in me, fake chemical banana and sun tan oil bad bad results. a faint hint of actual banana bread pops out for maybe 3 seconds after you sip it. palate: thin water. OA: oh no no no, if it was not so mild and watery i would have wanted to give it a negative number. its mildness keeps it from making me gag.

Deep amber color. Smells lightly of hops and strongly of banana and cream. Tastes extremely sweet for a beer, like banana, pound cake, malt and hops. Very bready. Tasty, but rather thin and watery to be truly enjoyable. Nice effort though, and props for originality.

Something a little different. Aromas smell more of candy bananas, but the taste is softer and, appripriately breadier.

Bottle at Brickskeller. Sounds like a gimmick, a beer that smells and tastes like banana bread. The beer is pleasant, though the bottle is too large in my opinion to enjoy for consumption by one person - I started to get tired of the banana bread taste a little more than halfway though.
