3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, best by 3/31/09. Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma of sweet banana. Flavor is really like biting into a piece of banana bread, perhaps a little sweeter (like banana laffy taffy). Not as good as I remember from my early beer days, but still a tasty treat.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle, best by 31/3/09. Pretty much as advertised in the aroma! Heaps of sweet bananas on bready malt. Flavor quite sweet, which is of course to be expected with all those bananas, but it still gets a bit out of hand. Cloying and at the same time metallic notes come out from another end of the spectrum. Expected this to be a fun novelty beer that gets poor ratings on here just because it is said novelty beer, but I guess it really is pretty poor.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
bb 03/31/09. Clear orange-red color with a finger of lumpy off white head, nice retention no lacing. Aroma of thin malt and bananas. Light spicy yeastiness to give it a good breadiness. Taste is more bananas but nothing to give it a bready body dissapointing slight clove and yeasty spice.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured into an English pint glass to an amber coloured beer. Thick white head that quickly vaporized to just a thin covering. Aromas of plums and bananas. Initial taste of yeast followed by a slight banana flavor. The finish was a little disappointing; no body nor taste at all, sort of just hanging from the banana flavor. Interesting beer.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
From notes alone. Tasted October ’07
’Vibrant, sweet and finely pronounced aroma of fresh baked banana bread leaps from the glass - it certainly harnesses the quality well. A soft herbal hop note comes in, but a solventy tickle mars it from being too sumptuous and grounding. Pours a striking golden amber, translucent and short of carbonation. The head nothing to right home about; a thin, soapy pad, off-white and lasting. It starts pleasant in the mouth, but it quickly drowned by some nasty additions. Dull banana and caramel turns to a heavily buttery, slick, acridly tannic and drabby, light bodied, watery palate. The swallow is tangy yet drawn, luckily little sticks around. Makes you squirm with each mouthful. How could the aroma promise so much, the palate deliver so little. Not good at all!!’ (568ml, 13/12/07, The Beer Store Morley)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours deep amber into an English pint. Pancake head recedes to skim surface. Over-ripe banana aromas. Crisp and clean upfront with a dry, sour banana peel finish.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle - pours an orangish amber color with an off-white head. Aroma of bananas and some spices. Flavor is sweet, not as much banana flavor as the aroma hinted at. Strange mix of hops, banana flavors, sugars makes for an almost chemical like flavor.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours pale amber, topped with a moderate sized tan head. Sweet aroma, with banana and some grain. Actually does smell like banana bread. Flavor is very sweet, with caramel malt, some banana, and spice. Lingering caramel and banana flavor. Interesting beer.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
2008 bottle. Could smell the banana more than I could taste it. The banana flavor hits you a bit in the back of the tongue. Calling it "banana bread" beer is probably a bit of a misnomer, but it is a very likable beer. No overly strong, or intense flavors.
