COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, Pasteurised.
This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

smells like banana chips and tastes a lot like it too, some clove aspect mixed in, had a decent body, not too bad something different.

I can smell the banana bread aroma from nearly 2 feet away! It is a relatively pleasant aroma overall. It makes you think that this beer will be sweet, but actually it is not. Quite dry, with essence of banana flavor. Slightly malty, and no hops to speak of at all. Interesting, and not as bad as I was expecting.

That label sure is eye-catching - a pint bursting from a banana peel - when you see that, you say to yourself, "you know this stuff is going to suck, but you just have to try it" - because, címon, itís a pint bursting from a banana peel, man! - and the beer actually ainít half bad - it doesnít look so hot - uber-filtered, clear straw color, with pretty much no head - but it does get better from there - banana is quite prevalent in the aroma, some hints of other tropical fruits, a touch of vanilla, and some butterscotch/diacytel-ish notes - quite crisp, with a medium bitterness, like a standard british bitter - banana makes itís presence known, and lasts through the finish, but is actually fairly pleasant - some notes of apricot and peach crop up near the finish, and the bitterness kicks up a notch, bringing with it a light biscuity malt flavor, which adds some weight to the beer, making it finish a bit heavier than the clean, crisp character it begins with suggests - I would throw this into a session to mix things up a bit.

Bottle. Pours a thin dark golden amber with a thin head the dissapeared quicly. Overwheming smell of bananas and alcohol. Flavor was also of bananas and alcohol. Tasted started off very ale like than the nasty banana flavors finished it off. Iíll probably never drink this again.

Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 1 pt 3.25 oz sturdy bottle. Medium copper colored pour, spritzy white head that fades rather quickly. Aroma of bananas of course - the artificial flavor type - like water taffy or bubble gum. Banana-like essence carries over to the flavor as well. If you close your eyes, you can taste the banana bread - not the kind made by your mom with week old bananas, but the kind found in a grocery store. Gets better as it warms - some nuttiness comes through with some citrusy bitterness making its way through. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and turns somewhat metallic near the end of the bottle. Not bad for a novelty beer.

Dear God! What a wretched concoction. Tastes like banana zest - not the meat, not the peel; the bland strings you pull off the fruit. Yipes. Not sweet, just shelly and hollow.

500ml bottle; Nose of banana and some vanilla cookie breadiness; copper with a small off-white head; flavor of banana bread, some sweetness, and light hop bitterness; wish I had some of the cask version to try!

Bizzare beer. Initial aroma is definitely banana. Inital taste on the palate is quite nice, rounded, bready, then the banana aftertaste hits you.... not for me...

500 ml bottle, best by 11/30/07. Clear amber with an off white head. Nose really is banana bread, with a tinge of tropical fruitiness. The banana flavor falls off in the flavor a bit, taking a back seat to the bready flavors and sweet malt. A light bitter nuttiness in the finish. Interesting, well done, but not really up my alley.

Bronze, slightly cloudy with a gorgeous creamy-frothy head. Aroma of mild fresh banana, quite natural smelling. I am astonished at how natural tasting the banana is in this beer. Medium-bodied with a perfect malt backbone to support the banana flavor and some wheatiness. Would only suggest they use more biscuit malts to increase the breadiness, which was faint at most.
