COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, Pasteurised.
This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

Dark golden pour with a nice white head. Very subtle banana flavors come and go as you pour and smell the beer. The banana flavor is not too overpowering, but one can definitely taste it on the palate.

Bottle Pours a clear deep amber with an off white head. The head leves quickly, but produces okay lacing. Has a nice sweet malty aroma with a lot of banana. Taste is pretty good. It definetly has a banana bread flavor. Like drinking a desert. Good mouthfeel and light carbination. Decent finish and a medium body. Kind of gimmicky but its tasty.

This is a darker colored beer with minimal head retention. It was a fairly simple beer for me. It smelled like banana and it also tasted like banana. I really enjoy the flavor of banana in beer, so this was a pretty decent beer for me.

Bottle from Freddy. Pours a brown color with a small beige head that quickly diminishes to a fine film. The nose is deceptive with banana, spices and then is followed something chemically with cooked vegetables. The taste, like the aroma, gives a good first impression; there is banana, allspice, and cinnamon, but then gives way to nail polish remover. The mouthfeel is a bit thin. The finish is dry and shows chemical off-flavors. Overall: I had great expectations of this beer, I love banana bread, but this brew just did not deliver. I also take issue with the fact that a 5.2 abv beer is a strong ale.

bottle thanks to zinister’s friend. Pours a dark amber with a beige head. Nose is of fingernail polish. Yuck! Taste is not much better. definitely tasted like chemicals and an intense artificial flavoring. Mouthfeel was thin. this was a drain pour!

Wells Banana Bread Beer (Bottle) is a dark amber color with a very nicely developed light mocha head. The aroma a full of banana flavors and the flavor is complex with banana, malt and sweetness. The finish is very nice while the banana flavor lingers on your pallate. This is a very nice ale with a great and unusually good flavor.

The aroma of banana is wonderfully strong, pours a clean dark golden colour. Surprisingy the taste of banana is actually very subtle, the beer is not particularly sweet and has a great bitter hoppy/malty balance. Excellant fresh crisp ale for a warm summer evening !

A nice orange brown with a creamy white head. Nose is full of banana. Smells just like the banana flavored Laffy Taffy. Flavor is malt with a banana undertone. Aftertaste is kind of astringent and the beer as a whole could use a little more sweetness. Very interesting. I wish more brewers would experiment with different flavors like this.

Pours a rich dark golden color with a lasting beige head. Smell is definitely like banana bread with a sweet banana gooeyness and light nuttiness. Taste is much the same with actually a fair amount of hop balance and bitterness, and it doesn’t come off like a sweet fruit beer by any means. Medium body and carbonation. Really not that bad, and I may have to grab one of these every blue moon.

Bottle. First banana beer I’ve had. A thin, light brown head and copper body. The ripe banana aroma hits me as soon as its poured. The flavor is banana with some sweetness. Good and malty. Banana and spice lingers long in the aftertaste. Enjoyable
