This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

Orangey-copper in color, clear, with a frothy egg-white head that is mostly lasting. Ripe banana aroma is quite striking - the banana aroma is strong and rather one-dimensional, but hints of nuts (pecans? walnuts?) sneak in in what I suspect is largely a figment of my imagination. Flavor is highly malty, sweet breadiness really sells the "banana bread" aspect. Slightly herbally yet spicy hops hit at the tail end of the flavor profile. Mild-to-moderate carbonation, fairly full mouthfeel helps sell the feeling you are drinking bread. Quite good, personally.

I actually really enjoyed this one... smelled and tasted JUST like banana bread like my mom makes. Pours a very bubbly amber color with a medium shite head. 1 pt. 3.25 oz. bottle.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2008 Brown beer with thin head. Banana aroma. Banana taste that is awful. Yuck! This is a drain pour for me.

Pours chestnut brown with a beige head. Aroma is banana, brown sugar and nutmeg. Medium body, very creamy and smooth. Tastes like a banana nut muffin. Banana, spice, malts, and for some reason I tasted apple cider about every other sip. A very good beer that tastes a little different with every sip.

Courtesy of Degarth. Golden pour with a sudsy, very creamy looking head. About 1 finger thick, dense and very bubbly. Decent retention but not much lacing. Nose of banana liquor, somewhat artificial, sweet grains and some other fruity notes. Flavor is banana Now and Laters, Joe pointed it out and damn if it isnít true. Also get some sweet grains like the aroma, but this is mostly a banana show. Light to medium bodied, somewhat bland and flat on the tongue, just a bit unexciting to drink. Medium length finish, banana candy and a blast of sweetness. Might be a bit too sickly sweet to drink as a session beer, but I could easily drink a couple of these once in a while. Damn, this was a lot better than I expected, and a lot better than itís rated here. I would keep this around if it was available here.

This is one of the more exceptional beers, and one should try it when you are in the right frame of mind, otherwise failure could lure ahead. The aroma has very clean and nice banana notes, nothing artificial about it. This impression is also what I get in the flavour, where it is accompanied by notes of citrus balancing the overall impression nicely. I quite like this one, and I must admit that I have a weakness for the banana flavour....

Interesting. Pretty decent balance for this fruit beer. Aroma isnít to strong of banana, but it is there. Good looking beer, nice head retention. Taste is a bit watery with mainly malt and banana. Better than I expected.

they mean business when they say banana bread. It tastes like my mother just took it out of the oven and put it into a bottle

1pt bottle: Poured a great golden brown color with a thin semi white head. Aroma is sweet with bananaís. Taste is dead on with aroma. Sweet and goes down easy.
