1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
[500ml bottle, gift from Maureen & Dave - cheers!] Clear copper, minimal head. Smell completely dominated by fake banana. Initial taste also fake banana, but some cardboard and malty bread emerge after a while. Sweet, but not in a sickly way - it somehow just about balances out the sweetness with the malt. Instead its the grotesque and all dominating banana flavour that makes you feel ill - and repeats on you all night. I would agree with those who say this should be classed as a fruit beer. It proves that banana and beer is simply not a working combination - I would imagine that this sells on the novelty factor alone as I cannott imagine anyone becoming a regular drinker.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a transparent golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of banana much like banana runts...malt and spices. Flavor is banana, sweet malts, bread and spices. No false advertising here, this is a interesting brew......glad to have tried it but I wouldnt seek it out on a regular basis.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma is, you guessed it. Storng banana. The color is so light it looks anemic. Flavor is overwhelmingly banana. This should be a fruit beer instead of a strong ale

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
50cl bottle from Sheps Deli (St. Pete, FL). Pours a generally clear light brown leather tan color with a thick and foamy off-white head that settles slowly and laces the glass. Aroma is fake banana extract, some mild floral sweetness, some hints of spice, coconut, nuts. Flavor is decidedly banana and bread with some hints of sweet malt, coconut, raisins, ginger, some faint phenol notes. Generally light body with a watery mouthfeel and a sweet, banana finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours gold/orange with small off white head. Smells like bananas and soft malts Tastes like bananas and a soft hint of spicy bread in the aftertaste. Impressive in the fact that the beer tastes exactly how the name suggests, but since I am not and fan of banana bread, this beer was a nice treat, but not up my alley. I would strongly recomend this beer for any fan of banana bread. I am glad i tried this one.

1.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle purchased at Wegman’s in Johnson City, NY. Pours clear amber, off white head. Aroma is banana bread and malt. Flavor is the same and hoppy with a weird chemical finish. Pretty gross.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours gold with a big head. Aroma is sweet with lots of banana. Mouth feel is lively with a good amount of carbonation. Flavor is one sided with not much else going on besides the banana, which I guess is the point after all.

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
The appearance is strange; a little like a soda (?!?!), it has an orange/ginger ale sort of color. Weak head, no lacing. Cool smell, bananas dominate, along with grainy malts. It has an aroma faintly like a cross between hefeweizen and an English pale ale. The mouthfeel was surprisingly watery. The flavor was mainly caramelized malts, not much in the way of hops. the flavor was a bit weak. A little sting on the tongue is from the carbonation. The finish is gone from the palate in a flash. I’m glad I tried this, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is one of the only beers that I like that comes from the good ole’ U.K.
Anyways, the aroma is pretty good, the beer actually smells like banana bread! I love
how they were able to capture that. I was expecting more of a wheat flavor, or stout
because I think the beer is too thin for what it is. This beer is has a transparent copper
look to it. Looks ok I would venture to say. Thin head that sticks around the edge of the
top. The head that was all over the top quickly faded away. The beer looks ok. It is
different from what I expected. The banana flavor stays with the beer while I am tasting
it, but that subtle hop and malt flavor kick in to throw the whole thing out of whack. I
would like it to be maltier and sweeter if you ask me, and for the beer to be a bit thicker
that way I can get the bread feel of the beer. Overall, this beer isn’t bad at all. I wouldn’t
say that this is a favorite of mine, but given the fact that the brewers were attempting to
find that banana bread taste this is pretty, pretty, pretty good.
