3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours chestnut brown with a beige head. Aroma is banana, brown sugar and nutmeg. Medium body, very creamy and smooth. Tastes like a banana nut muffin. Banana, spice, malts, and for some reason I tasted apple cider about every other sip. A very good beer that tastes a little different with every sip.

Courtesy of Degarth. Golden pour with a sudsy, very creamy looking head. About 1 finger thick, dense and very bubbly. Decent retention but not much lacing. Nose of banana liquor, somewhat artificial, sweet grains and some other fruity notes. Flavor is banana Now and Laters, Joe pointed it out and damn if it isn’t true. Also get some sweet grains like the aroma, but this is mostly a banana show. Light to medium bodied, somewhat bland and flat on the tongue, just a bit unexciting to drink. Medium length finish, banana candy and a blast of sweetness. Might be a bit too sickly sweet to drink as a session beer, but I could easily drink a couple of these once in a while. Damn, this was a lot better than I expected, and a lot better than it’s rated here. I would keep this around if it was available here.

This is one of the more exceptional beers, and one should try it when you are in the right frame of mind, otherwise failure could lure ahead. The aroma has very clean and nice banana notes, nothing artificial about it. This impression is also what I get in the flavour, where it is accompanied by notes of citrus balancing the overall impression nicely. I quite like this one, and I must admit that I have a weakness for the banana flavour....

Interesting. Pretty decent balance for this fruit beer. Aroma isn’t to strong of banana, but it is there. Good looking beer, nice head retention. Taste is a bit watery with mainly malt and banana. Better than I expected.

they mean business when they say banana bread. It tastes like my mother just took it out of the oven and put it into a bottle

I could smell this beer all day!! It smells like some delicious banana nut bread. It tastes like it too, but the taste isnt near as good as the smell on this beer. Pours nice golden brown color, but I wanted a nice head on it but it didnt have one at all.

Bottle. Orange you glad you didn’t say banana? Found this interesting beer at the local BP. Thanks Greg. It poures a clear brown amber. The aroma is what this beer is, banana bread. It taste just like it smells, this is actually exaclty what I thought it was going to be, maybe a little darker but pretty honest beer. Maybe give it to a girl, probly won’t buy again.

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2008 Bottle. This beer tastes like banana bread. Added a few points to overall score for straightforward honest product labeling. Beer pours a little thin for my taste, as I was hoping in this case for a beer I could chew on. Due to it being so thin, I think the banana flavor is just a little stronger than the bread flavor. Tastes more like a juice or soda than a beer. My advice: If you are buying beer, see this bottle, and get an instant craving for banana bread ; Buy the beer as it will satisfy that craving (banana bread is hard to find in a pinch). Otherwise, ignore it.

16oz bottle, provided by Gary Jones. Amber pour and very clear. Malty and bready aroma. I guess you could say bananas. I thought the flavor was the same. Very bread like and suppose you can see the banana in this but it’s mostly bread. Maybe some biscuit like grain too, but that’s it. Carbonated but light mouth feel.
