Bottled, Pasteurised.
This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

Strong banana popsicle aroma. Good embossed bottle, tea-colored and clear, oatmeal head. Dry. Banana popsicles, medium bittering. Rather one-dimensional and bland. Novelty, but no knockout here. Aftertaste is very banana bread-esque.

(Bottled) Colour is dark amber, with a foamy, but quickly disappearing, head, leaving little laces. Nose is rather malty, but dominated by the odd aroma of ripe bananas, however a bit candyish, like marshmallows. Fruity, but slightly artificial. Taste starts malty, with the same slightly artificial banana aroma, however not as dominant as in the nose. Starts slightly sweet, but turns drier as the malt and hops come to the fore towards the finish. Strange notes of Dr Pepper as well. Medium bodied. Somewhat bitter-sweet, rather chemical finish with the bananas and hops battling it out (battling is probably too strong an expression). Not at all unpleasant, but I’m not really convinced.

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2006 568ml bottle, fridge-temp. Colour ruby, cognac. Small head that turns into a cloud. At first the aroma has some banana in it, but after some sniffs it starts smelling more and more of chemicals. Pleasant on the palate, turns into foam in the middle. The aroma is strong on hops but the banana is less evident, just like in the case of Young’s Double Chocolate. Interesting, once.

Pours a light amber color with a medium white head. Aroma is of bananas, nuts, and sweet malts. Flavor is really strong of bananas. Very interesting taste to this one, I’m still not entirely sure why I bought this one but it’s better then I expected. Not sure if I’ll ever buy this one again.

Bottle: light brown body with medium white foam. Aroma og banana, and ananas. Tasted banan and that all. no bitter finish, and thin body. Reminds me moore of a Cider drink.

I tried it after reading rewiev in Oxford Bottled Beer Database where rated 9.5 from 10. Amazingly fruity taste and smell, but it is a beer definitelly.

Medium nut brown clear liquid with a very fine white head. Nose is sweet and very much banana aroma. Taste is very dry and mildly banana. Somewhat tangy mouthfeel. Nothing like expected based on nose. Almost too thin in texture.

Bottle, 568ml. An average lasting head. Clear amber appearance. Initially an overpowering aroma of banana, with some hops noticable once it settles down a bit. A quite sweet taste of banana with a touch of yeast/dough and a hoppy finish. Not amazing but certainly worth trying.

One word: WEIRD! Not bad, necessarily, I just don’t know what to make of it. If you’ve ever been sitting around, eating banana bread, and thought to yourself, "This is pretty good, but it would be even better if I could have this without chewing AND it would get me drunk!" than this is the beverage for you. If not, this is probably not be for you. Bananas explode out of the glass in the nose.

Bottle. Pours a golden clear color with a white-tan foamy head. The aroma smells of the obvious banana with a medium touch of malt. On first taste the banana really comes out with a sense of sweet sugar. Moving into the bottle a bit of fresh hops notes arise with more malt on a light tip. Definitely one to try out!
