This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

Bottle sampled from Capones. Pours copper with a small light tan head. Aroma of (that’s right you guessed it) banana bread. The flavor well is once again banana bread, finishes with a light hoppy presence.

Bottle from Capone’s. Medium copper pour with minimal head. Aroma is banana bread, some hops, some malt. The palate is medium, with a pretty authentic banana bread flavor, plus some malty notes and subdued finishing hops.

Surprisingly good! I made sure to check the bottling date, and at less than a month old I picked it up. Not terribly attractive pour, light golden, fizzy, thin white / tan head. Smells like fresh beer and quite noticably like banana bread. Taste was sweet, slightly creamy, with a golden honey ale in the background. Nicely balanced banana flavor. Will try again!

Couldn’t resist this beer when I saw it in the cold beer section of the store. I drank this one ice cold. Appearance is copper orange with a creamy tan head. Aroma is 100% Banana Bread, which I love. The brew has a watery mouthfeel and plenty of carbonation. Flavor is ripe banana with a hint of nuttiness. The finish goes tart, then bitter. This ale is a fantastic relaxation beer to be enjoyed with any salty snack of your choice. I liked it and would drink it again.

Bottle. Not too sure what to think at first, but found to be delightful. A nice aftertaste of banana, not too strong. Just right.

Bottled. Beer is clear, medium brown with a large, beige, frothy, mostly diminishing head.
First impression on the nose is smothering bubble gum. The aroma is malty with a light note of toasted grain, moderate note of caramel; Heavy miscellaneous note of syrupy bubble gum, moderate-to-heavy note of artificial banana flavoring.
The flavor, thankfully, isn’t as sticky sweet as the nose would allude. It’s moderately acidic, moderately sweet, trace bitter with a long, lightly acidic/dry, light-to-moderately sweet, lightly bitter finish. Sugary aftertaste.
The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is lively.
Smells like fake food. Soda-like and nasty.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is light amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), with a strong note of banana candy. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lighlty acidic, moderately bitter, slightly unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation, metallic. Smells like it’s gonna be really really icky sweet, but it’s pretty much the opposite; abrasively bitter with a metallic coating. Overwhelming fake-smelling banana scent completely destroys the aroma. Horrible, undrinkable stuff.

This is listed as an English Strong Ale at 5.2%? Pours clear copper with a beige head. The aroma is very nice with candied bananas from quite a distance. The aroma is very much like banana bread with dough malt and rich bananas - very nice. The taste and palate is another story completely. Thin / tinny body with a slight bit of sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with sharp malt that is lightly toasted and lightly metallic. The finish has sharp spice and only a hint of banana. Great aroma and mediocre taste - best to avoid.

(50cl bottle) Crystal clear apple juice body topped by medium white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, banana, some bread, light alcohol. Taste is medium sweet, banana, herb, some cookie dough, light earthy, faint alcohol. Light-medium body.

Bottled. Very fruity, mostly banana of course, but not like in a Hefeweizen. Amber color, off-white head, fair lace. Less sweet than expected. Herbal on swallowing and pretty bitter. Banana first in the background and later on more prominent. Sparkling, lively. Less bad then I thought it would be.
