This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

From NOTES. A: Malty sweetness, bananas, a slight nuttiness and not much hop character to speak of or maybe just a slight peppery spiciness from the hops. A: Pours and dark amber with 1 finger of white head that dissipates too quick. T: Cloying banana flavor, like banana candy. Some astringency on the finish. P: Thin consistency, almost watery. Highly carbonated. Crisp finish. O: Overall, a disappointment, even though my expectations were not particularly high. I like banana bread a lot, but I think I will stick to the real thing.

Aroma of caramel and banana. Amber with a off-white head. Medium + sweet and medium bitter. Medium body with a average to soft carbonation. Overall a nice, and quite easy drinkable English Strong Ale with a touch of banana.

Pours amber with a small offwhite head. Aroma is banana bread, caramel and earthy. Taste is sweet with some faint bitters. Medium bodied, smooth and overall decent though the sweetness would limit it to one bottle.

Nice amber appearance. Decent head off the pour. The banana notes are there but subtle. Just a personal preference, but would like this beer a bit sweeter to match its name. Good flavor though for someone who prefers just a touch of a special flavor. Beer was a tad flat, but I could blame my local liquor store. I can't always trust that their "cold beer" section hasn't been skunked somewhere along its journey. :) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Has a little banana flavor. I was expecting more. Little bit bitter at the end.

Smelled skunk as soon as I opened the bottle. Taste alright, nothing special, don’t think I’d buy this again.

Bottle - Biscuit and banana. Clear gold with a decent beige head. Sweet candy banana and light bitterness. Not a fan.

5.2%ABV. Poured out of the bottle a dark clear amber color. 14ºSRM. Nose is full of sweet darkly roasted malts and of course, banana or banana-like esters. There are also hints of sweet pipe tobacco. Has nice nutty flavor like toasted almonds, lightly browned wheat toast, graham crackers balanced with some bright carbonation, not overwhelming. Finish is slightly woody with nutmeg, cloves and of course a slightly sweet vapor on the tip of the tongue. Strangely goes on the favorites list.

Pours dark orange with thin lacing. Aroma of bananas, caramel, bubblegum. Taste is sweet. Light body, medium carbonation. Interesting beer but the banana aroma is quite artificial.
