COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, Pasteurised.
This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

Nose is lagerish with a good hint of sweet banana and caramel. Dark golden, bright and clear. Taste is: a light ale with banana, caramel, light hops. Finishes with light bitterness. Reminds me of crap beer I drank when I was young (but with bananas thrown in).

Bottled. Golden amber color, minimal lacing. Bright fresh banana in the nose. Banana bread, earthy, and sweet taste. Finishes bread and wheaty. Pretty decent banana beer. Not to bad

orange to red in color, quickly disappating head, medium sweetness backed up by a dry bitterness from the hops. Good balance of yeast bread notes backed up by the flavor of banana.

Yeasty aroma (with bananaish overtones of course) with a small, offwhite head. Light copper in appearance. Taste is similar to the aroma; mostly malty with a hint of banana. Slightly bitter aftertaste. A light beer overall, worth trying once, but nothing too special.

Smells like banana bread. Tastes pretty decent, too. Not very carbonated though. Still, generally a solid beer.

grikmok (132) - Little Rock, Arkansas, USA - SEP 30, 2008
Poured into an English pint glass to an amber coloured beer. Thick white head that quickly vaporized to just a thin covering. Aromas of plums and bananas. Initial taste of yeast followed by a slight banana flavor. The finish was a little disappointing; no body nor taste at all, sort of just hanging from the banana flavor. Interesting beer.

StuffWine (131) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAR 13, 2014
Poured an attractive light-red amber with average head that diminished to an oily slick. Aroma of sweet banana but not so much of bread, touch of vanilla and bubblegum. Taste initially of light sweet malt, moving to a mouthful of banana and bubblegum, finish is long and distinctly resembles the aftertaste from eating a slightly under-ripe banana.Creamy on palate, though a bit thin bodied, good length to finish. A solid novelty beer.

Decent but not a beer I will drink again. I taste more bubble gum then banana and lacking the malt I was expecting. Too light and strange with a ginger aftertaste.

Orange-amber body, head disappeared. Flavor was exactly as promised; nothing more, nothing less. Carbonation was a little high, but definitely worth trying.

One pint brown bottle 5.2% Vol. Poured a clear ruby with quickly diminishing off-white fizzy head. Banana vanilla malty aroma. Bitter banana unbalanced flavour, slightly sour. Needs a little sweet spice. Watery mouthfeel with short bitter finish.
