COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, Pasteurised.
This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

Rolig banan & bröd ale. Man känner banansmaken men får mest associationer till smakämnen av banan tex lite skumbanan. Även i doften. Relativt söt. Dock dålig kropp å ingen eftersmak. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Couldn’t resist this beer when I saw it in the cold beer section of the store. I drank this one ice cold. Appearance is copper orange with a creamy tan head. Aroma is 100% Banana Bread, which I love. The brew has a watery mouthfeel and plenty of carbonation. Flavor is ripe banana with a hint of nuttiness. The finish goes tart, then bitter. This ale is a fantastic relaxation beer to be enjoyed with any salty snack of your choice. I liked it and would drink it again.

500ml btl. Pours a clear light copper with white head. Nice malty banana aroma. I bought this because its fall and it sounded tasty. It is. The banana is present but not overwhelming and the malt is giving it a pleasant breadiness. I like it and I’ll but it again. Eventually.

1pt bottle: Poured a great golden brown color with a thin semi white head. Aroma is sweet with banana’s. Taste is dead on with aroma. Sweet and goes down easy.

A very strange beer indeed! Amber color with small head. A hint of banana in the nose wich becomes more dominant as you "tune in" to it. In the flavor the bananas are more dominant. It is an interesting mix, but not a beer i would buy again...

Wells Banana Bread Beer, how can you walk past a beer with that kind of name in the store. I’ve been eyeing it for a while, even though I usually think that fruit beers are a terrible idea. I had to try this one. I never say I regret drinking a beer, and I don’t regret drinking this beer but it is close to the worst beer I have ever had. I found myself debating whether it was an ale or a lager half way through. The beer is clear and light yellow. Nearly flat, so no carbonation at all. No head. Overwhelming smell of bananas, but not the fruit bananas, think banana runts. Surprisingly, it did not taste a lot like bananas (although each time I burped they tasted like bananas). Mouthfeel was weak and thin. The aftertaste of the beer was stronger than the taste. The aftertaste was that of a poorly made Kolsch. On the bottle, they wrote:"Long ago, ale was known as ’liquid bread’. We’ve used our long history of creating the finest malt blends and added fairtrade bananas to awaken the senses with a seriously fruity, rich, yet surprisingly versatile banana bread beer." Lies, all lies. Don’t bother with this beer. It was close to undrinkable.

Like drinking a liquid banana. Big time. The banana flavor lasts forever in your mouth. Unfortunately, the only flavor this beer really has is banana, and almost nothing else. HUGE creamy off-white head which lasts until the last drop of beer goes down your throat.

Really nice banana smell and taste. Not too sickly, with a good balance between ale flavours, strength, and fruit.

Took a little for the aroma to hit, but smells of banana nut. The taste is stronger banana than I expected with a hint of nutty flavor behind that. Decent, but feels more like banana flavor added to a lager than one that is brewed with hints of banana.
