This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

Clear amber color with a poor head. Faint sweet aroma of banana, toasty bread with some toffee. Taste of grains with faint subtle sweet taste of banana, caramel, with a hint of citrus. A little light with good carbonation. Short mouthfeel with a more bitter alcohol finish. Aftertaste of banana bread. Overall, the aroma and taste is great, but it’s a very light beer. Missing some body and a little freshness.

Smells of wheat and banana but slightly artificial like the difference between fresh bananas and banana oil. Color is orange/amber with a strong taste of banana pudding to my palate. Not overly sweet like I thought it was going to be a good desert beer but not something you would want all the time.

Awful, I love bananas, and it smells interesting. Then the flavor is just awful.

Bottle. Pours a reddish amber with a thin but lasting tan head. Sweet aroma of banana. Taste: some bitterness, like herbs - warms to banana, some bread like malt. Finishes with a banana / slightly bitter finish. Pretty good, someting different, nice flavour.

Wells Banana Bread Beer English pint bottle Recent bottling, sliced into 11/06 Medium pour in an English pint. Poured a mystifying clear yellowish brown with an average fizzy mostly diminishing off white head. Smelt strongly of candied bananas as I was pouring. On closer inspection, smells of strong sweet banana candy, spices and a bready maltiness. Genius! Taste was upfront moderate sweet ripe bananas and spices, followed by a strong bitter malt breadiness and spices that slowly die down on an average length finish. Mouthfeel was light, watery, fizzy and awkward moderate astringency towards the end. Overall, the label states it plainly, this beer is all about banana bread. The smell is wonderful, but the taste feels tamed and short with some crisp bitter bite at the end (crisp and bitter does not belong with banana and bread), as well as a fairly light body. Just a fun novelty beer overall.

2013.03.02 - Wells Banana Bread Beer - 16.9oz bottle in pint glass. Bottle is about a year old. Aroma: it's not in your face but you can definitely get banana bread in the aroma. And more than just a banana ester sort of thing. Appearance: Pours around (12) on SRM scale. Mostly clear light gold. Little to no head/carbonation. Taste: Definitely a sweet banana on the front end giving way to a more neutral gold ale taste. Palate/Mouthfeel: very light with just trace carbonation. Aroma 6/10, Appearance 3/5, Taste 6/10, Palate 3/5, Overall 13/20

Achat risqué mais les craintes sont vite dissipées. ça reste une bière, la banane est présente mais pas ultra dominante. ça change et c’est plutôt pas mal

pours a dark golden color with a thin white head. Heavy banana aroma as soon as you pop the cap. Overwhelming banana taste too however I liked the beer. It has a low drinkability rating because I’m not a monkey and can’t take that much banana

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2011 Beautiful amber/copper color with little head and lacing. Aroma of banannas and malts. A banna flavor with a sort of acidic/tart aftertaste. I like to try a new/original take on a beer but this isn’t one that I would recommend.

I actually really enjoyed this one... smelled and tasted JUST like banana bread like my mom makes. Pours a very bubbly amber color with a medium shite head. 1 pt. 3.25 oz. bottle.
