COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, Pasteurised.
This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

Not a very strong aroma, tiny notes of banana. Very tasty not too sweet. Hops a little grassy. The Beer is dark brown in colour.

Bought a 4-pack of this from Shakespeare’s English Pub in Sarasota, FL. Poured into a Tulip glass and enjoyed over an hour of time while watching the bowl games last week. Appearance- Bronze color with almost no head. Smell- Of course banana but also smelled extreme amount of malt. Taste- Tasting the bananas for sure and a hint of vanilla. Will be wondering next time what other tastes come out, but awesome! Mouthfeel- Light Bodied and had a vanilla finish! Very different. Drinkability- Wells really hit it on this one! I could only drink one glass of this beer because of how different it was. Probably would give you a stomach ache if you had too much of it! Tough to say this beer’s drinkability.

A nice orange brown with a creamy white head. Nose is full of banana. Smells just like the banana flavored Laffy Taffy. Flavor is malt with a banana undertone. Aftertaste is kind of astringent and the beer as a whole could use a little more sweetness. Very interesting. I wish more brewers would experiment with different flavors like this.

This is an alright beer, not overly heavy with the bananas but at the same time I don’t think I could drink more than a pint of the stuff before it gets sickly. Drank from a (British) pint bottle.

Single bottle for 2.99 as part of a sampling party I hosted. Of the 18 beers sampled, this finished dead last. The smell was great, but the taste was completely underwhelming. Not much of a bread taste & it seemed like the banana was just added in like sugar would be in coffee, almost a syrup taste. I like banana bread, this wasn’t anywhere close.

I’d heard that this tasted artificial, like somebody squirted some extract into the barrel. On that front, I didn’t think so - the flavour of banana tasted good and worked well with the toasty finish. There was something else sweet in there, though, which didn’t feel necessary at all. I didn’t have a problem with the way it was brewed, but ultimately I wasn’t expecting much from a banana flavoured beer. It was about as enjoyable as I could have hoped for.

Very drinkable and tasty. This beer probably won’t blow anyone away but it’s definitely banana flavored and it serves its purpose well.

Smell of candy-banana, plain in taste some bitterness, taste of unripe banana

The beer poured a light golden color with a frothy white head. Smelled like you’d expect heavy banana and yeasty wheat. Tastes the same. Not for me. just has nothing better going for it other than tricking me into buying it when really what i wanted was a slice of grandmas banana bread...

bottle. pours with a frothy head, rapidly disappearing. pours clear dark amber. not a lot of aroma, until tasted - and then had heaps and heaps of banana and butterscotch. slightly bitter hoppyness, and carbonated. no lasting mouthfeel.
