This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

Would this be categorized as a fruit beer? Smells like bananas, tastes like bananas, dark blonde color, good!

Copper-orange in color with a thin white head. Decent lacing. It does have a clear appearance to it. Obviously it has a strong aroma of bananas. There is a hint of nuts in the aroma. Caramel and melted butter are also noticeable in the aroma. It taste like burnt banana bread. It gives you that nasty aftertaste like burnt toast. For the first second in your mouth it was actually good but quickly turns bad and stays that way through the finish. The taste gives you the feeling that the beer is flat. Overall the aroma was the only thing it had going for it. Everything else was a let down.

Interesting beer with banana all over the place. Actually better than the expectations (low). The banana flavor is there all right, but it marries the malts and hops pretty good. Fun to have tried it, but its going to take a while before I buy it again.

Smells of wheat and banana but slightly artificial like the difference between fresh bananas and banana oil. Color is orange/amber with a strong taste of banana pudding to my palate. Not overly sweet like I thought it was going to be a good desert beer but not something you would want all the time.

Legacy rating - bottle received for birthday early 2016. I’m not a fan of sweet beers generally and this is crazy sweet with no real flavour except for the overpowering banana. I’m sure this would appeal to some, but I prefer my beers rather more bitter and hoppy.

Awful, I love bananas, and it smells interesting. Then the flavor is just awful.

500ml bottle from LCBO. Toronto, Ontario. Pours a clear amber colour with a little ring-like head. It has a skunky aroma mixed with banana, candy and notes of vanilla. It has an obvious banana bread taste which dries up nicely with some light hops.

Bottle. Pours a reddish amber with a thin but lasting tan head. Sweet aroma of banana. Taste: some bitterness, like herbs - warms to banana, some bread like malt. Finishes with a banana / slightly bitter finish. Pretty good, someting different, nice flavour.
