This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

To be honest I didn’t expect much from this. Instead I was rewarded with a very satisfying and easy drinking ale.

They certainly didn’t exagerate the banana aspect of the beer, it is noticeable in every stage of this beer. Pours a dark gold with a white head. The aroma is sweet and dominated by banana notes. The flavour is pleasant; dry, malty and brings out the banana notes fully. Medium bodied and very refreshing. Excellent.

Pours a transparent golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of banana much like banana runts...malt and spices. Flavor is banana, sweet malts, bread and spices. No false advertising here, this is a interesting brew......glad to have tried it but I wouldnt seek it out on a regular basis.

This was a treat. I mean it could have been a LOT better. But this was the first time I’ve ever had anything like this. The flavor actually tasted like banana bread--which I love. My only complaint is that other than the banana bread the rest kind of just tasted like your average cheap beer. Still worth a try.

Draft beer poured at Bar-Ly. Nose hits the banana bread theme spot on. Taste was like banana bread flavored water without much real emphasis on beer. --you've been Dubbed.

Big banana and grain flavor. Tasty and somewhat low alcohol-usually what I buy for people who don’t like beer. They usually like this one. Has a little bit of a bitter finish, but it is mostly overwhelmed by banana.

Reddish golden beer with small off white head that retains a thin covering throughout. Well carbonated. Aroma of banana flavoured sweets and hopped beer. Flavour is like banana cake. Initially like a heavy desert but there’s a metallic bitterness that offsets the sweetness and seems a bit at odds with the rest of the package. Bready dry finish is light and moreish. Takes a while to get used to but overall enjoyable.

Excellent amber coloured beer, with a nice fluffy head that dies rather quickly. The obvious banana bread aroma is accompanied by toffee and caramel tones. The taste was rather metallic/medicinal that was a real let down. Overall an interesting beer but this one will be the only one I’ll probably ever drink.

Cask : Battersea Beer Festival 2004. A huge banana aroma hits you as soon as you bring the glass anywhere near your face. It tasts bananary too! Not much body, not much else really, but I like bananas so I liked it. I wouldnt try it with other fruit though...imagine....fig beer!

A banana filled aroma with a little hop, is a clear dark golden color, tastes distinctly of banana bread, it is a smooth enjoyable beer, good to the last drop!

Smell carries just enough banana to be a promising beer, but the overall taste is watery and underwhelming. Neither enough beer or fruit flavor to make drinking it worthwhile.
