This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

I am not a fan. I had higher expectations. I was firmly let down. It does smell great though. It looks alright, kind of a funny orange color, but the flavor is very weak and kinda gross. Fruit beer lovers may like it.

Nice amber color but virtually no head. I gave it some extra points but it is a very weak beer overall. Smells and tastes more like candy banana flavoring than banana bread. Acutally, I’d describe it as tasting more like those candy circus peanuts than anything. Very light body and a lightning quick finish.

Was surprised how good this beer was really did expect it to have that much banana bread taste. Poured dark amber color, thin head.unmistakeable beer taste with a banana finish. very clean and well made beer

The aroma of this beer is subtle. All I can smell is a touch of banana - I guess with a name like banana bread beer it is what you should expect. The beer’s color is amber with a minimal head. Taste is slightly sweet again with a malty banana flavor. The finish is again malty and short. Not really an overpowering brew. I somehow kind of liked it in a Newcastle with banana sort of way. Not horrible, but not spectacular either.

This beer is quite what it says it is. Very bready, very banana-y. The pour is a hazy honey with a thin head that disappears very quickly. The nose is immediately banana bread with underlying clove/cinnamon. The first few tastes follow suit, very yeasty and with plenty of banana. Hops make an appearance a few sips in and lends a much appreciated balance. The hops beat the yeast to the finish, leading a lingering bitterness that is this particular beer’s weakness.

Bottle from Binny's poured in a standard pint glass. Nice aroma, tastes as you would expect as previous reviews state. As a fan of bananas, I really enjoyed this one. I hesitated at first, but picked up a bottle due to low cost. I was glad that I did. Will be buying again. Cheers! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

It has a charakteristish banana aroma and flavor. But I would rather have a banana and a "normal" beer in stead of a bananabeer.

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2010 Appearance: Clear brown, looks like tea. Aroma: Smells exactly like banana bread, which is this stuffs best quality. Palate: Pretty soft mouth feel with some alcohol bite. Flavor: Burnt banana bread soaked in rubbing alcohol. Overall: Bad idea. I like the taste of banana in the hefe-weizens but this has NO malt or hops flavors at all. Only banana and alcohol. Does not taste remotely like a beer. Just a mixture of water, banana flavored syrup and alcohol. IMO, it’s an air freshener, but you’re not suppose to drink it.
