This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

Bottle, 5.2 abv. I really enjoyed this beer. Wonderful aromas of fresh banana. Heavy on the carbonation (a little less would have been good, but still good). Banana flavor came out more as the beer warmed up in my glass. Left me wanting another one.

Appearance: clear burnt toffee, medium white head. no lacing. Aroma: Strong bananas, also toffee, treacle, brown sugar, and grape juice (?). Taste: more bread and biscuit flavours, bananas taking second place. Some caramel and the same grape juice (?). Some mineral tastes and a strong bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-low body with medium carbonation. A bit thin, very quaffable if the bitterness was toned down slightly. Overall: This is a fairly straightforward beer. It is very definitely "banana bread" based, but fortunately, it never strays close to being gimmicky, and holds up as a reasonable beer on its own. Now if only they released a Banana Bread Stout...!

Banana bread: pretty self explanatory name, Just imagine banana bread if a dead skunk fell into the mix at the factory, and you have a pretty good idea what this smells like. Taste is much the same. What "beer" character this has, is that of a pretty boring English pale mild. If my bottle wasn’t skunked i guess it would have been worth it for the novelty..but alas; a clear bottle and ~2 weeks on the shelf made it a poor choice.

Weird beer, but it kinda works. Bit banana medicine, bit caramel but it flows over the tounge well. Not going to spend too much time waffling on about this cos its beer Marmite with LOVE and HATE tattoo’d over its knuckles. I’d give it a blast again but not too soon. Good to show off to mates.

Very tasty beer. Strong banana aroma and taste to match. There is not much and and the color is brilliant golden hue. I like it

This beer thoroughly succeeded in what it set out to do, that is, to be banana bread in a bottle. There are much better beers out there, but in the exclusive "tastes like banana bread" group, this one takes top marks. It’s definitely not one that you want to plan an entire evening around...

This is a great novelty. Great banana bread taste on the front end and solid beer flavor on the rear. Great tan fluffy head.

It tastes like an old Now and Later. Fucking gross. Very bitter, but not in a hoppy sense. It's almost expired or something. Just bad for start to finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma is right on the mark in my estimation it smells just like banana bread and the color is a nice clear yellowish orange. There is certainly a banana flavor to the beer however the bitterness of the hops makes it taste a little more like banana peel. An interesting concept but a little short of the mark, with a few changes to the recipe though they might have something here.
