COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, Pasteurised.
This dark golden coloured ale hugs the palate with great intensity. Its malty aroma is complemented by the gentle nose of Banana. Its flavour unfolds with a sensual sparkle and a smart crispness, which balances its aroma perfectly. Tropically fruity; its ripe banana flavour, emphasised by a hint of bitterness, comes from the addition of real fair trade bananas and finishes with an emphatic, steely dryness.

Bottle courtesy of Savannah, thank you maíam! I didnít have high expectations for this one, but it was drinkable. The aroma is exactly banana bread. The taste seems a bit contrived and artificial, with almonds and toffee. Not bad.

Amber color; persistent perlage. Obvious banana aroma, with vanilla, malt, flowers. Dry, a bit metallic, smooth in the beginning with a light maltiness, but harsh on the tongue at the end; maybe too bitter final. Original beer; thanks Jens (Ungstrup).

Pours a light orange-brown with a very bubbly, white head. Nose holds extreme banana, some light malts. Flavor has some banana to it but it doesnít match the intensity of the aroma. I wish it was sweeter. A tad creamy, this beer brings to mind banana cream pie. I wish the beer had more body, though. Finish is crisp. Interesting and decent, but as it is I wouldnít put it above novelty status.

Light amber, not much head. Sweet aroma from artificial banana. Artificial flavor as well, strange and not very pleasant at all.

568ml bottle from Asda. Chestnut colour wth thin off white head. Banana and yeast aroma. Bit bubblegummy. This doesnít really develop in the mouth. Too bananery and tastes of kids sweets. Some hop on end. Bit empty and boiled sweet in mouth. Not as good as cask and not something I would buy again.

Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and banana. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. 240207

Bottled. Clear, deep golden beer with a small off-white head. Ripe bananas and notes of other tropical fruits in the aroma. The flavor is mostly banana too, but with some malt and hops. Lightly sparkling, medium body. I am surprised to learn that I like this one, even though Iím not fond of ripe bananas. (060713)

500 ml bottle. Copper coloured beer. Smells like sweet baking banana bread, warm clove spice, baked bananas, bready and nutty as well. Noticable spicy hop aroma as well. Flavour is sweet doughy and bready. Banana tastes real, no candyish character. A well-balanced and surprisingly tasty beer. I donít think Iíd want to make a session out of it, but for a change itís pretty good

Bottled (@home, BB 2008?).
Bottle from chriso, thanks Chris. Red color, good beige head, some particles. Metallic cellary aroma. Toffee, some banana and metal. Also cellary. Banana flavors are harmless. but this bottle is a bit off, so needs to be rerated sometime.

A: The pour is a golden amber color with plenty of carbonation and a nice off-white head. S: What can I say, it smells like banana bread. Sweet banana, subtle spices, and a light nutty aroma to it as well as some bready base malts. T: There is a slight bitterness to the flavor that I wasnít completely expecting, but otherwise it (again) is quite reminiscent of banana bread. Sweet banana and caramelized sugar flavors, along with a hint of toasted nuts. M: The body is medium and the carbonation is a bit on the high side, which was actually sort of welcomed. D: I was not expecting too much from this beer, to be completely honest. However, I really enjoyed it. It did indeed taste like banana bread and was not cloying or overly artificial.
