2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
There are obviously 2 distinct versions of this. I have now drank the cask version at a nearby Chas Wells and it is fairly acceptable, though a pint is too much. There is an initially pleasant though strong Pear Drop/ Banana flavour, then going down the glass this changs to a cloying sweet perfume taste. The bottle is straight into the astringent perfume without the more delicate pear drops

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle poured a clear amber with a small lingering light amber head. Aromas of banana, carmel and a hint of nuts. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of bread, carmel and light banana with a crisp lightly sweet finish. Smells better than it tastes.

Very banana-ey, competant bitter, but the banana sweetness drowns the malt.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAY 23, 2010 Medium bodied English styled ale with an earthy banana taste. It’s another one of those "love it" or "hate it" beers. I loved it. Has a cereal feel to it. Rating: 4.5 Rated 10/18/09
Pours amber with white head. Nose is slight banana. Taste is malty with banana and bread tones. Re rated: 3.6 (I was way off with my initial rating. I’m not sure why) 5/22/10

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: APR 13, 2003 Bottled: Very special beer. Pours a clear amber colour. Medium lasting head. From there on its all about banana. Aroma, flavour and palate is owerwhelmed with banana, which in the end actually becomes too much, because nothing else is really going on. But in small doses this is a quite funny and tasty beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Dark golden colored with large, thin head. Light lacing. Very light taste. The aroma and taste are naturally, stong banana. SOmehow this one seems thinner than the one I had in the past.
